Man at Sea is the moniker of Bristol based singer/songwriter David Hewson. 

 Often compared to the likes of Rufus Wainwright and Thom Yorke, Hewson has been praised for his distinctive blend of introspective songwriting and soaring melodies. His songs intertwine sparse arrangements with captivating melodies, underpinned by lyrics that explore existential themes and the contemporary loss of spirituality. 

Hailing from a small village on the Isle of Wight, where the sea served as a constant muse, Hewson's passion for songwriting blossomed at a young age. Relocating to Bristol in 2017, he embraced the moniker Man at Sea and began captivating local audiences with his poignant performances. In 2019, he released his debut EP, "Minotaur," which garnered critical acclaim and caught the attention of BBC Introducing in the West. Hewson's response to the peculiarities of living through lockdowns resulted in his poignant single, "Ghost Song."
