Listening to these wonderful preludes again, I'd have to say this is my favorite. But they're all superb!

A graceful solo piano piece, where each note feels like a brushstroke painting the delicate wings of a butterfly, reminding us that life’s most beautiful moments are often fragile and fleeting. I’ve added it to my playlist because it’s truly beautiful.

Composed by handwriting in front of the mountains of Savoy here at Saint Pierre de Curtille in Savoy - F from Wednesday, August 3 to Saturday, August 5, 2023
Sonata in 3 movements :
I. Moderato espressivo
II. Andante misterioso
III. Allegro giocoso
« The most well-known Trojan asteroids are those associated with Jupiter. There are two groups: those located at L4, ahead of Jupiter, and those located at L5, behind Jupiter. Each group is made up of thousands of objects. The American mission Lucy is on the way to go and study them.
Moreover, it was theorized about twenty years ago that pairs of planets of similar mass could also share the same orbit around their star. These particular configurations are called troyen planets or co-orbital planets. In this scenario, again, the planets would be located at the stable Lagrange points of their planetary system and would thus follow similar trajectories »
As mentioned above, this type of configuration has been only theoretical until now. A few days ago, astronomers from the Madrid Center for Astrobiology finally identified the first evidence in favour of this idea »

This is a lighthearted and Romantically-inclined piece that is inspired by my little daughter who is into all “pretty things” in this world like flowers, raindrops and butterflies. When I watch a flock of birds playfully soar in the sky above, it's as if there is an instinctive drive to out-fly their peers in a game of tag.  On this windy day, I watched a flock of birds draw pictures of circles, triangles, swirls while diving through, over and above the clouds, clipping wings in a cat and mouse scurry.  And, most astonishing, I see the birds chasing the fastest cloud taken by the wind.  With outstretched wings, like on a magic carpet, the cloud carries the bird through the wind until a new cloud appears.  A magnificent display of beauty, agility, strength and skill in an ordinary sky in my back yard!

My piano piece is a relaxing and dreamy fantasy of flying through the clouds, chasing them with the wind, and carrying me to a place of serenity, beauty and peace.

Chasing Clouds

I am a classical pianist based in Canada. Many of the pieces I upload here are for solo piano. Some are performed by me, but the performances of the recent uploads are created on Staffpad app on my iPad.
