I really like the woman giving the speech in this song. I’m curious if those are existing audio speech snippets or did you create them.  Very nice.

1972: Icarus Descending

It was 1995, I had already acquired my trusty Alesis SR-16 "Dr No" but not hooked it up in stereo yet on my 4-track cassette recorder.

This track is one of the more fun I made in those days, thought I'd share it here. For the occasion, I properly mixed and mastered it in such a way to keep it's original character intact as much as possible. I did put *some* fancy effect to stereoize the vocals a little, and there is a subtle stereo reverb on the drums.. Things like that, but that's just to make it palatable for the modern crowd. This is after all an original recording, no edits, no overdubs.

Thinking about putting an entire 'legacies' album together. Would anyone be interested in that?

I am Dan Lockhart/ProgRockDan.  I am half of the duo Dan X2.  I enjoy making music with my partner Dan Blackard.  I was born in East St. Louis, Illinois.  I was raised in a rural area near Edwardsville, Illinois.  I have lived in San Antonio, Texas; Bad, Kreuznach, Germany;  Kansas City, Missouri; Columbus, Georgia; Haverhill Massachusetts;  St, Louis, Missouri, and Indianapolis, Indiana.  I have resided in Carmel Indiana for the past 20 + years.  I consider this home.  I have a small studio in my home.  I go to it everyday and work on creating (writing) songs.
