I think it’s important to say that a lot more women than you think have had one or multiple miscarriages. It’s just that it is a subject not often talked about because of the very personal pain that the couple go through. The unborn life has no contact with anybody else except the mother and the emotions are often only remembered by the mother and father.
When Jo and I were expecting our second child we were very excited and looking forward to having another Reeves in our growing family. I will never forget the day that we were told we were going to lose the baby and once told, left sitting in an open A & E waiting area having to cope with all our raw emotions and the prospect of the impending loss amongst the rest of the other patients.
Jo had to go through a painful operation to terminate the pregnancy and it is a day she will never forget. We were a family of three planning being a family of four having now to plan being a family of three recovering from an invisible loss and explain it to our young son.
It was an extremely difficult time but we were fortunate that after a few years we did have two more children. Jo tells me that although it is difficult to explain the connection she had with the unborn child that the presence of life inside her will never be forgotten.
I felt I couldn’t let this moment in our lives pass by without acknowledging our unborn child in some way. The rollercoaster of emotions we shared at that time from euphoria at increasing our family to devastation and bereavement at our loss were felt intensely only by Jo and myself played it’s part in forging the strong bond we have had throughout our relationship. According to the legendary story of her life and suffering, Solina, daughter of noble pagan parents, learned about Christianity in her youth and vowed virginity. Because her parents wanted to marry her off, she fled to Chartres, where she lived in a monastic house dedicated to Mary. During the persecution of Christians under Emperor Diocletian, she was brought before his bench under the prefect Quirinus, confessed to be a Christian, resisted flattery and threats, and was thrown into prison, then sentenced to death and beheaded.

Christians buried Solina on the site of what later became the Abbey of Saint-Père-en-Vallée in Chartres. Many miracles occurred at her tomb through her intercession. Later her bones were placed in a gilded shrine.

As seeds, budding plants, shrubs and bears awaken from the depths of winter in the Northern Hemisphere and Spring comes, we're delighted to finally Release a New Track for Spring of 2023! 😎  
   
We call it 'Awakening'. 

And thank goodness that as usual, the fingers of Tim Elliot are on his Telecaster and mine on the ancient Upright Grand Piano .

and together, they work their magic as we continue to explore the sonic landscape together through Improvisation.

Of course this can only happen within a space of Deep Listening.  A place Musicians can go in their totally individual inimitable ways.                      
                                                                                                                               
In our case, we almost immediately found ourselves being 'Led' into a Tonal Awakening....
Subtle grooves that were an outer manifestation of the Joy we were experiencing as we explored the spaces in between the notes.  😊  

Of course, the very best kind of Awakening is to one's own inimitable Truth, no matter the noise and apparent confusion all around. And sure... there's all kinds of negativity and nonsense in this ol world, but who needs to Awaken to that? It's more than obvious!
 
Far better to explore and express one's unique Creativity! To share the Love one feels for whatever they're passionate about, through their Music! 😉

I am Dan Lockhart/ProgRockDan.  I am half of the duo Dan X2.  I enjoy making music with my partner Dan Blackard.  I was born in East St. Louis, Illinois.  I was raised in a rural area near Edwardsville, Illinois.  I have lived in San Antonio, Texas; Bad, Kreuznach, Germany;  Kansas City, Missouri; Columbus, Georgia; Haverhill Massachusetts;  St, Louis, Missouri, and Indianapolis, Indiana.  I have resided in Carmel Indiana for the past 20 + years.  I consider this home.  I have a small studio in my home.  I go to it everyday and work on creating (writing) songs.  I play bass, guitar, banjo, mandolin, pedal steel, piano, violin, and viola.  I use Cubase for my DAW.  I master using Izotope, Ozone.
