This is a another song written during the pandemic in 2022. It's about the joy of reading! I know we don't read hardly anymore that's why we are pretty ignorant about science and math, look it up, don't take my word for it!! I still enjoy reading, it sparks my creativity, and opens up my imagination! It's really fabulous the trips we can make with our imagination by just reading. I whipped up seveal tales and weaved them all together into a Rock song. It is also about what happens to unread books that just turn to dust on our shelves. (Read H.G. Wells "The Time Machine" or at least watch the 1960 film!). I guess we will soon have no need for libraries!  Just I-phones! This is an adventure song, my Indiana Jones song!

      The video is brand new with loads of eye-candy for everybody. I thnk I finished it a few months ago. It'll take you on several exciting adventures!! I hope people enjoy it, we must continue to read books because when we stop reading books, then we will stop having independent thought and we become nothing more than brain dead sheep!  I'm sure that's what some evil people actually want! (Look what they did to Jimmy Kimmel!!). Read a book before they censor them and take them away! **I NEVER USE A.I. IN ANY OF MY SONGS OR VIDEOS!** Hi everybody, my name is Jim and I’m a songwriter, I've written over 300 songs, I play guitar, bass, piano, and am an okay lyricist.  I play all types of music and have my own recording studio.  I use no A.I. or DAW or any computers to make my songs or my videos, all the instruments are played by me live on a multitrack studio recorder and Charlie, my vocalist, sings most of my songs and also plays the Harmonica on several tracks. I use video clips from Motion Array or Pexals or Pixabay for my videos. I'm not a pro or a great musician but I do what I can with the tools that I have! Hello! I’m a university professor of history who enjoys playing guitar and piano/keyboard, and occasionally composing — unpretentiously, just for fun. I’ve been here for at least 10 years, but only recently have I started using the platform for something other than just external digital storage.
Most of my recordings (made with a KorgD8, Audacity, and more recently Reaper for MIDI and the Spitfire Audio libraries) are entirely homemade and decidedly imperfect. And yet, I think that lately I’ve learned to do something a bit more - and better - also thanks to greater commitment.
My music includes old songs (all written back in the last century; here I’ve only shared the ones I’ve reworked in recent years) as well as both old and new instrumentals — usually in several versions, some of which eventually disappear because they’re simply unlistenable.

Thanks for stopping by and giving something a listen; in the description you’ll often find explanatory notes or translations of the lyrics.
Here I’ve discovered a community of talented musicians and songwriters, and plenty of beautiful music to enjoy. Whenever I like, comment, or repost a track, it’s always the result of attentive listening. For the same reason, I’m not interested in trading empty “likes” without real engagement, and I won’t reply to messages from would-be promoters — follower counts don’t matter to me in the slightest.

Close to my heart is raising awareness of the chronically painful genetic connective tissue disorder HEDS (Hyper-Mobility Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome) to encourage recognition and a deeper understanding of the condition; that no 2 people with HEDS are identical and live with different symptoms, types and experiences.
