We probably don't study great women of faith like Abigail enough. This woman literally saved the life of her husband, and saved David from committing a heinous sin as well. Her fine example of faith in action and dedication to God are there for us to study and learn, let us open God's word together and do so!

Abigail’s Example

Many people are proud and excited about their faith. Zeal, or great enthusiasm, is important in our spiritual walk, after all Jesus was consumed with zeal (John 2:17) and is our best example to follow. However, sometimes zeal can be misplaced, or can exist without knowledge, as was the case with the ancient nation of Israel (Romans 10:2). What about us? How is our knowledge? Is our knowledge consistent with the knowledge revealed in the Bible?  What can and should we be doing?
