"The Sealed Angel" is my newest creation, and it is one that is very dear to my heart. For the past few nights I have been completely and utterly engrossed in the novella of the same name by Nikolai Leskov. The vivid and spiritually powerful descriptions of the ancient Novgorod and Stroganov Orthodox Icons deeply inspired me. I could imagine their ethereal beauty as well as their profound spiritual power. I had dreams of standing before their icon corner, dimly lit with oil vigil lamps, incense smoke arising to the heavens, all whilst deeply communing with the eternal. I will forever treasure this story and the effects it has had on me. I will be content if my piece can give just a glimmer of this story's beauty and magic. What do you see? What does my music make you feel!?
