Raised in Tel Aviv and more recently a resident of Berlin, the latest offering from Eskimo Recordings is the track ‘Fernandez' coming from Moscoman.

Moscoman has only been producing for a relatively short period of time but has already had releases on Cosmo Vitelli’s label I ’m A Cliché and Headman’s Relish. He has established himself as a key electronic artist who uses a range of influences in his music, such as rock and new wave. Moscoman regularly plays at the most interesting parties all over Europe as well as his current base of Berlin.

Moscoman has created a track in which several layers result in an extremely catchy and playful release. ‘Fernandez’ incorporates punchy claps, an almost psychedelic melody, and a bassline that seamlessly brings all the parts together.

Kezokichi Miyazaki's label comes into it's fourth single release and has a low-strung guitar feel and a "chug noir" direction that is currently de rigeur. This cut by Jo Howard AKA Bird Of Paradise takes the six strings, and sticks it up Roland's 'arris for an understated acid under-the-skin crawler.

Things starts with the most club friendly and definitely head-rushing track ever on Especial, in "Tamzarian" here premiered. Acid, tick. 909, tick. Piano, tick. The sound of the summer encapsulating in 6 and half pulsating minutes. Pacha terrace, free party dew covered fields, Barbarellas sunrises. We already feel like it's Tisno !

Up next on Phonica Premieres is a seriously groovy cut from International Soleil Band off the new Soundway 12".  Ta Lassa is an '80s West African Disco crossover from the International Soleil band straight outta Guinea. Composed by Gnamakoron Sidi Diabaté it was originally featured on an album released in 1983 by French Warners offshoot WAM (West African Music) - a short lived label that recorded about 20 releases of West African music released in France. Also Featuring Mory Djely Kouyate this track was a staple of the 22 band's repertoire in the 1970s (in which many of the ISB played) - famous for their recordings on the legendary state-run Editions Syliphone label. We've decided to premiere the extended (DJ friendly) Hide & Smile edit on the A side. There's throbbing bass and keyboard interplay punctuated by classic Guinee guitar lines, metronomic drumming and 80s synth sweeps eventually drops into a more recognisable Guinean vocal outing. The computer screen flashed abruptly and the light went out beneath the thick dense glass. The old machine had potentially blown its fuse for the day but there was still significant hope that the track might not have been lost to the depths of the ether. Vanishing into thin air it had the potential to revitalise itself from the beyond. Reloading the machine there was little hope or life in the old box, the tin can rattled beneath the desk as his foot tapped abruptly upon the floor. 

Now here's a secretive one, an unknown artist with an unknown track. Discodromo however are familiar faces, the pair behind Cocktail d'Amore remix the mysterious alias on Me Me Me.

Swiss duo Psycho Weazel drop two eccentric cuts on the Argent Sale imprint entitled ‘Race/Stracciatella’. The story of Psycho Weazel is that of a musical thunderbolt between two sensitive guys who radiate captivating productions from their studio nestled on the shore of Lake Neuchâtel that can be found on labels such as À Table, Paradise Chilren and Le Jour Me Nuit. Psycho Weazel are an upcoming Swiss duo who grew up at the foot of a mountain and produce radically universal music that’s been supported by the likes of Curses, Red Axes, Who Made Who, Tushen Raï & Cornelius Doctor, Simple Symmetry earning then gigs at venues around the Swiss region.
