The duo These Siamese consists of Marc and Macoe, who met in Philly and came to San Diego together over 20 years ago. Their influences include DJs and producers from all over the world and they consider themselves genre agnostic, although their library includes deep house, leftfield, Balearic, indie dance, next wave, and melodic techno. They believe there is a perfect song for every moment in life and this is what guides their track selection. They also occasionally foster kittens in their home, which they currently share with one Siamese cat and one black cat.

WONDERGATE Podcast - S1EP1 These Siamese

Born and raised in Southern California, David Devine began collecting and playing vinyl in the mid 90's. Never conforming to one genre, his mixing abilities take the listener anywhere from House, to Techno, Disco, 80's, and Throwbacks.

In early 2007, David decided to hit the club scene, and by that summer, 'Re:Fresh Outdoor Gatherings’ was formed, launching their first party in San Diego. It was clear from the beginning, that David wanted to do something new and different in the music scene, and what better way than having a Day Party; bringing together a sound system, established and aspiring local DJ's, friends, families, and even strangers, to gather under the sun for the love of music, dance and unity.

Having wrapped up their 17th season this year, 'Re:Fresh', has grown into a staple of summertime traditions on the coastline in lovely, San Diego, and continues to bring out the best in local talent and special guest collaborators, bridging communities both in and out of the music scene.

San Diego based by way of Philadelphia, Macoe has over two decades of DJ’ing under her belt. Her eclectic taste spans multiple genres, yet seamlessly weaves together common themes of the human experience. Inspired by DJs and music aficionados from around the world, she is obsessed with finding fresh songs on a daily basis. Macoe’s soundscapes can be described as a meandering journey between contemplative, colorful, sometimes moody and occasionally cheeky track selections. 

She is also one half of the DJ team These Siamese.

Lady K is an international actress and professional figure skater turned dance floor starter. Her passion for authentic movement and electronic dance music run deep. Her energy is ecstatic & infectious creating a space for freedom of expression on the dance floor.
Having grown up in the Netherlands, this little girl was influenced by the coolest DJs, producers, raves and festivals of Europe. During her Theatre Performance degree in Montreal she was no stranger to the night life there either. However, this Phoenix-native loves the desert. Now, she is a regular behind the decks in the San Diego area bringing her love for deep, minimal, underground sounds to lovers of house & techno music.

As the son of a professional flamenco singer, Thomas has always been surrounded by music.  Exposure to flamenco influenced him because it has a dynamic range of emotions—from the "deep singing" style of cante hondo, to the more lively alegrias.  He has also worked in the corporate, independent, and online music industry for a number of years.  At one point he was a Content Manager for the Electronic Music genre at MP3.com, where he screened over 500 songs per day.  Exposure to a wide range of music explains the range of genres in his mixes—he uses whatever carries the mood.  From listening to Umm Kulthum's "Enta Omri" in his childhood, to New Wave and  Industrial as a teen, it became difficult for him to stick to one sound. Though vinyl was his original format of choice when he started in the 90s, the use of digital mixing has helped him better form soundscapes to expand your headspace.  Let him play with your moods for a spell.
