Kokeellinen radiofoninen teos NAUTINTOJEN KÄYTTÖ on syntynyt ranskalaisen filosofin ja tieteenhistorioitsijan Michel Foucault'n Seksuaalisuuden historia -teoksen synnyttämistä ajatuksista ja tuntemuksista.
Foucault pohtii kirjassaan sitä, miksi sukupuolinen käyttäytyminen ja siihen liittyvät teot ovat muodostuneet länsimaisissa yhteiskunnissa moraalisen pohdinnan kohteiksi. Yksi tärkeä kysymys on, miten seksuaalisuus vaikuttaa ihmisen käsitykseen omasta itsestään ja myös eettisistä päämääristään.

Radiofonia tarkastelee Foucault'n kirjoituksia seksuaalisuudesta äänellisinä ihoonkaivertumisina. Kysymykset halusta, itsehillinnästä ja nautintojen moraalista tulevat tutkituiksi erilaisissa äänitapahtumissa, joiden hipaisut, nuolaisut, puraisut ja näykkäisyt tulkitsevat ja uudelleenkertovat Foucault'n pohdintoja. Teoksen äänimateriaali koostuu pääosin dildojen, seksin ja metrojen äänistä.
Ääniteoksen tekstifragmentit ovat Ksenofonin kirjasta Sokrates (Suom. Pentti Saarikoski).
Radiofonia on Yleisradion tilaus, ja sen ensiesitys oli Ääniversumiohjelmassa 2.10.2015.

The Use of Pleasure explores Michael Foucault’s philosophical book The History of Sexuality (1985) as a source of carnal and sensual investigation of sexuality in the parallel realms of imagined  Ancient Greek with particular moral codes and current endless consumerist society and self-performing realms. The sound material of the work consists mainly on urban sounds (especially metros in different cities), and the manipulated sounds of dildos and sex.
The text fragments (in Finnish) are from a book "Socrates", written by Xenophon (translation by Pentti Saarikoski). 
The radiophony was commisioned by the Finnish Radio Broadcasting Company (YLE), and it was premiered on 2nd October 2015.
