Number twelve in our Break 3000 revisited classics series looks back at the House tracks made in Berlin. The cool jam "New Soul" was released on Dirt Crew Recordings as part of the "Deep Love 2" compilation in 2012. The spacey "Solaris" and dubby "Dopamine" are unreleased pearls we found on an old hard disk and both were produced in the period between 2008 and 2012. Now freshly remastered they sound really nice actually :) hope you Enjoy!

Characterised by dubwise basslines, cosmic synth work and expert drum programming, this one feels like the perfect way for us to celebrate the two zero milestone.

Maai proudly presents a split EP featuring two distinguished Barcelona based talents. On the A side, the Peruvian trio of JJ Beteta, Alonso Bauer and Stefan Cukic delivers a dynamic array of tracks. "Layers" kicks off with an energetic blend of dusty breaks, setting the vibe for the EP. Following this, "Go The Data" takes over with its driving acid bassline, strong rhythm, for a dark and hypnotic vibe. The trio wraps up their side with "Wonky Afthermath," a subtle yet funky combination of deep, groovy elements and breaks that keeps the energy flowing.

On the B side, Canarian artist Javier Carballo, performing under his Look Perry alias, offers a captivating contrast. "I Can't Love U" introduces a track enriched with otherworldly pads and synths, creating an immersive sonic environment. The EP concludes with "Stone Pilots", which takes listeners on a smooth journey through intricate breaks, providing a perfect counterpoint to the A side’s energetic flair. Since 1995, Uruguay’s Two Phase U has been crafting beats that blend classic hardware-driven textures with contemporary dancefloor sensibilities. His latest offering, the Face Five EP on System Error’s ERROR100 series, showcases his versatility, delivering tracks primed for any dancefloor moment.

The A2 track, "Comprando" (Spanish for "buying"), is a deep, techy groover with a subtle, hypnotic acid streak. From the start, a tight rhythm section exudes classic hardware warmth, while the bassline’s understated funk anchors the groove, allowing the acid line to subtly weave into the mix.

What makes "Comprando" effective is its restraint. The Acid elements enhance rather than dominate, creating an engaging push-and-pull dynamic.
