an older tune I cleaned up a bit
it is a tribute to actor, singer, dancer, artist, and author Russ Tamblyn, who turns 91 in December.

I wrote the song around the time I retired from my  medical career. So  along with references to  Russ and childhood memory, there are veiled allusions to this strange  new exciting but a bit unsettling life circumstance in the lyric.

As per Russ 
He danced and acted in Westside story  and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers most famously but was in a bunch of movies in the 50s and 60s.. and ....my favourite as a kid was the War of the Gargantuas, which  for Russ was a creative low point ..but  it got him to Japan

Hey! Thanks for stopping by!:) All recordings done on my old Baldwin piano that my amazingly talented grandma gave me. I'd like to think it holds some magic. All original songs, recorded live. I took a few years of classical lessons when I was very young. Fond memories bicycling down E. Brown street to my lessons. Dearest Faye...sweetest teacher ever. 

Throughout the years I'd always tinker on my Mom's old 1900 Ludwig piano through passing, playing songs I had learned, like Fur Elise and The Spinning Song, but it wasn't till I was in college when I fell in love with those keys. There was an old upright in the student center that I'd sneak off to late at night, and ever since then the playing has never stopped, and it never will. I never knew I could even make up melodies, let alone write a song. What a therapy it has been over the years, expressing myself through experiences, and feelings of the hopeless romantic in me. God is good! I'm so thankful. I hope to connect with many and make new friends. Hope you enjoy the songs!:)

I have enjoyed music for as long as I can remember and cannot remember a day of not either singing or listening to music. I am self-taught when it comes to playing guitar but what I most enjoy is singing which I have been doing since around age 18. Now retired singing and playing the guitar is now just a hobby and something I do to help pass the time. Have always  loved the sound of a Martin guitar.    I have been writing songs since I was about 10 years old, maybe even a bit longer as I can recall being younger than that and strumming a toy guitar and singing some sort of melody. I can play the keys a little bit and that’s where I write my songs at the keyboard, because I don’t have a band behind me, at the moment songs are recorded using keyboard presets as backing music with me singing over into my iPad. 
  I’m in the process of changing my setup and will soon start using a laptop and a keyboard to make hopefully a more unique sound, at least I hope more professional.
  I hope that you enjoy my music, that’s why I make it, because I enjoy it and I want other people to as well.
