Who : Simone Giovannetti & Ela Casella. Simone is a DJ and producer born in Terni, Italy. Inspired by Umbria’s landscape, he evokes an ancient and mystical vibe, while maintaining a deep communion with the forces of nature.
E L A is an Argentinian DJ from Buenos Aires who currently resides in Milan. In recent years, E L A has contributed beautiful recordings to several labels and collectives, including Rinse France and Radio Raheem. From start to finish, she weaves together slow techno pieces with ambient soundscapes and subtle rhythms that are filled with surprising changes.

For this set we tried to stay in between deep hypnotic sound, infused with idm, and bass driven tunes, going back and forth between straight 4/4 kicks and syncopated ones.
Lately got bored really easly from all 4/4 sets and find hard to create a connection with the music with all breaks sets because we can't dance how we'd like to, so for me the solution is to try to find an healthy balance between straight 4/4 and breaks in order to get the best from both styles. Simone also played some unreleased from a friend and himself and was super fun to see people dance to our new music!

A steady and fulfilling path has been walked by Means&3rd aka Ben Marsden to get him to the creative space he currently occupies.

A Manchester resident since 2007 his musical education has been nurtured by the city and the experiences that have come with it. First beginning with his musical education, shortly followed by many years of promoting events and culminated in securing a spot behind the counter at one of the UK’s finest record stores, Eastern Bloc Records, where he currently curates the House and Techno sections.

A local favourite and regular of Manchester's White Hotel, Warehouse Project, Soup Kitchen, and the close quarters of Eastern Bloc's very own club night his DJ'ing style has matured over the years to convey a more textured, headier but no less driving vision of techno that is always cohesive within its layers and never struggles to provide a boundless dynamic, especially when given the chance to play extended sets where he truly thrives, a keen intuition developed from over 2 decades of DJing.

More recently he has zeroed in on his production skills with 2021 seeing the launch of his own imprint 'Unveiled Nuance' which will serve as a platform for his own productions and a true introduction to his sound as an artist. After years of meticulous analysis of his craft and the invaluable knowledge gained via the record shop, he has truly begun to sculpt his own sonic identity with a sharp attentiveness to detail.

Artscope Radio #46 : Shelley [Bielefeld / Germany]

Shelley, self-taught DJ from Bielefeld, Germany, has been making a name for herself and establishing her soundscapes since 2019 when she decided that the years spent within the club culture could be translated into something fun.

Her sessions moved by hypnotic and impulsive rhythms sounds, combined with dark and dissociative atmospheres.
Through this combination, she achieves to impact mind & soul in an unique way, channeling her love for the deeper electronics.

It didn't took long until her style got recognized and she made appearances on institutions like Diffuse Reality, Indefinite Pitch, Deepinic, Fur:ther Sessions or Crescent London. 
Also Eric Cloutier invited her to play at Tresor in Berlin where she could prove her skills in front of a decent crowd.

Leon Haller is a DJ, Producer and Performing artist currently based in Brandenburg but mainly active in Munich, Germany. Over the years he has been part of several collectives and party series. Since 2017 he was a Resident DJ at the recently closed Harry Klein Club, a Munich Techno institution, where he also created the PERRAS parties together with Louis EMP, MRTI and Manuel Loewe. Both as a DJ and party host he draws on a wide range of genres and moods, always with a focus on disinhibition and escapism. With his background in theater and a degree in dramatic arts he does have a keen ear for different textures in dance music and a sharp eye for the energy on the dance floor. In addition to his residency at Harry Klein, he also played in venues such as Rote Sonne (Munich), Disco Zwei (Mannheim) and Zur Klappe (Berlin). For this mix he went back to his roots which lie in deep, pulsing, sometimes wistful and haunting Techno, with subtle House-ish accents appearing sometimes. He included some tracks he has been listening to and playing for quite some time, paired with fresh releases, sparkling percussions and hypnotic dance floor bombs. Eafhm (@eafhmlive) is a multidisciplinary project created recently by the evolution of different artistic and exploratory stages. This project has developed different facets, including a career as an interpreter and audio producer when experimenting with a wide variety of musical sequences. It seeks the integration of oscillating interpersonal ideas among the variety of solid conceptions. This project also defines the transformation of the artist that has developed under different aliases for many years. Each interpretation is made to create an atmosphere based on sound art, generative art and Techno in its different variations. Eafhm is the founder of the beautiful label Secuencias Temporales (@secuencias_temporales).

Our next guest After 15 years as a DJ and producer, we can safely say that DOC has traveled through most styles and genres. From hard techno free parties in Barcelona in the ‘10s to disco events in London in the ‘20s, DOC has developed a broad music taste and vinyl collection during his artistic journey.

Some years ago, he landed on a musical planet inhabited by all things deep. DOC has a genre-agnostic approach to his music selection. If it is psychedelic, ritualistic, and hypnotic, it fits. He picks from ambient, techno, breaks, house, dnb, dub, and downtempo to create a trip of his own, aiming at providing both a body and mind experience.

He has leveraged his exposure to the latest sounds there to promote his own Unveiled Nuance events and label as well as securing performances at events throughout the country.

"I aimed to create something that reflects where I am sonically right now. The aesthetic of the deeper sound has expanded so much lately, touching on all sorts of BPM's and vibes, and I've really been loving every bit of it. This music requires some patience and a commitment to fully appreciate it, which is one of the reasons it continues to captivate me so much.
