Banding Musicians Together Today

My name is Dave Hanrahan. I was born and raised in Watertown, Massachusetts. I was the only son in a family of four children. At 7 years old my father passed away suddenly. I was the only son and now I would navigate my life rudderless. In the house of estrogen. It was the week the Beatles played Ed Sullivan. Thus tying my life to theirs. Instant male role models. 

At 20, I was serving in the Navy. I was stationed at NAS Whidbey Island, Wa. When I was heading into my barracks I heard someone playing Hotel California across from me. I met my mentor that day, Terry Walters. I bought a Yamaha 6 string acoustic guitar and one music book. The Beatles Compleat. I practice for hours upon hours. After a few months I wanted to try writing. On my first attempt I wrote 3 songs.  I believe I found patterns in playing only the Beatles for those first few years. I was off and running. 

I am a singer/songwriter from a different era. I had written close to 80 songs when I laid everything down to become a husband and a father in 1989. I laid it down because I desired a family more then anything in life, certainly more then fame & celebrity.  

In November of 2019, I unpacked my instruments after a 30 year hiatus. I wasn't certain if I could even recall the chords to most of my music. It was all in my head. I can't read or write a note to this day. Muscle memory I was happy to find is a fact even after 30 years.

I began practicing countless hours a day for about six weeks when suddenly, a song popped into my head. It was in a style that even I was unfamiliar with. I felt as though I picked up where I left off in 1989. Then Covid gave me more time to practice. I haven't stopped writing since that day just over three years ago. I have well over 50 more songs to produce to ensure my entire catalog has been recorded. I already have that many on my page for all to hear.

To create a new Music Industry run and operated by Human Artists only. I am a Life Path 1, so have no doubt I will get it done or it’s artificial intelligence soulless Muzak for everybody. New artist are being ignored. This is by design. Those that are profiting off all of us. Music comes from the heart. Filled with emotions which A. I. The heartless, soulless machine with never be able to produce. Music is a force of creation given by The Creator. The Authentic Intelligence God. 

I am here to do a job, At my juncture in life I hope it obvious it isn’t for the fame and fortune. We are musicians and artists first and foremost. We are those who help steer the collective consciousness. I picked up this mantle in December of 1980. The night I wrote ‘Dear John’. Music has always been in the hands of the Angelic. Even after they threw the conductor out. There is power in numbers.
