Singer, Songwriter, Producer and DJ originally signed to "Ninja Tune" Records (UK) before deciding to go independent. Now releases on "Secret Angels" Records (US) and various labels internationally. Discovered in 2012 on a compilation released by Gilles Peterson (Brownswood Recordings UK).

Known for solo works and collaborations with artists like John Cale (The Velvet Underground), Honey Dijon (DJ) and many more. Active in multiple musical worlds but primarily associated with Soul, Trip Hop, Electronic and Indie sounds.

His next album is titled SAMUEL (birth name) and will release on April 3 2026 (birthday).

Veering from tech house to the less definable reaches of bass-driven house music, Tom Budden’s ALiVE Recordings has carved out a name as one of the UK’s most dependable and forward-thinking labels since its launch in 2008.

Early releases received support from the likes of Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin and Luciano, while the likes of James Zabiela, Richy Ahmed, John Digweed, Catz N Dogz, Groove Armada, M A N I K and Danny Howells are just a few of the other names to feature ALiVE releases in their sets. It’s a label with a diverse output and a correspondingly wide appeal.

Along the way, ALiVE has featured material from serious talents like Shadow Child, Waifs & Strays, Arnaud Le Texier, NTFO, Leftwing & Kody, Yousef, Shall Ocin, Worthy, Audiojack, Inxec and Echomen - giving hefty support to many new names alongside more established forces.

Recent years have seen the label push a darkly-tinged, tough-edged sound imbued with the heritage of UK dance music, with tinges of rave and hardcore clashing heads with ALiVE’s techy backbone.

Founder and A&R of @lifeanddeath, Manfredi Romano grew up tour-managing punk bands and organizing left-field music events in Italy around the turn of the Millennium. Having completed his studies in computer science at the University of Pisa, Manfredi went on to form DAZE, Italy’s first booking agency solely devoted to electronic music. Drawing on two decades of experience behind the scenes, Romano shifted focus  in 2010, establishing himself as a DJ in his own right. 

As a performer, Tennis valiantly showcases an astute ability to create intimacy in even the vastest of gatherings. As a respected producer, Romano consistently channels his past relationships with post-rock luminaries such as Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Tortoise and Fugazi into intricately-synthesised electronic constellations. Known for his Artist Management capabilities is responsible for breaking artists like Tale of Us, Mind Against and Carlita.

Fine chef and restaurant owner, Tennis splits his time between Paris and Miami, where he enjoys riding motorbikes, collecting vintage action-figures and building upon his vinyl record collection - which now numbers over eleven-thousand strong.

Hugoe was born the youngest of three musicans..
So naturally, from an early age, music was a huge passion.

Since Hugoe discovered his love for electronic and dance music,
he has travelled the world exploring ambient and natural landscapes to gather inspiration to create a soft and earthy atmosphere with his music, taking samples from environments he perceives inspirational to create the sound the that is Hugoe. However, while living in Japan Hugoe held a residency at multiple clubs , and played over 10 venues across Asia where he developed a liking for the heavier side of techno exploring a faster and darker sound which he incorporates into his DJ Style. 

Supporting big names on home turf in Melbourne and internationally backing such names as Secret Cinema, Schlepp  Giest, Loco & Jam, Takkyu Ishino, Francessca Lombardo, Shin Nishimura, Sander Markey, Sahar Z, D-Nox and more..Hugoe is no stranger to getting a dancefloor moving.

Firmly dedicated to the support and development of the best cutting edge electronic dance music, Crosstown Rebels, run by artist and dj Damian Lazarus, loves quality alternative sounds, adores a great party and thrives on creative, young people armed with something new to say.

Leftroom Records opened its doors in August of 2005 in Nottingham, England. The label is the creation of Matt Tolfrey (Owner). Musically, it was one of the first labels of its kind in the UK, showcasing the off centre sound of house, disco and techno.

Distributed now by Above Board, the first release surfaced for the label on the 5th of December 2005 and was entitled ‘The Extended Family EP’ encapsulating the spirit of Leftroom, a place where a core set of artists could grow and experiment with their sound. The Leftroom family consists of a few key artists including Laura Jones, Huxley, Gavin Herlihy, Sam Russo and Matt himself.

April 2006 saw the launch of Leftroom's sublabel, Leftroom Limited. Musically Leftroom Limited brings a new dimension to Leftroom as a whole, concentrating on anything that wobbles from straight up house, to techno and even the uplifting. The first ep for the sublabel was Tolfrey & Sylvester presents: Popeye-Spinach Disko, a slow brewing, techy, disco record, which came out the end of May 06 with many plaudits. 

With Matt being label owner he proved his A&R capabilities are pin-point in securing one of 2007’s biggest tracks, Ito & Star’s ‘Suduko Kid’ and one of 2008’s biggest crossover tracks, Rocha and Lewinger’s ‘Down Seq’. The summer of 2011 brought you Laura Jones's 'Love In Me' which was a global phenomenon, and Maceo Plex's remix of the same track was Leftroom's first no 1 overall seller on Beatport. In 2012 Kate Simko's 'Go On Then' featuring Jem Cooke stole all headlines, and the same year brought you Matt's debut artist album 'Word Of Mouth.' 

With new albums and mix compilations not to far away, and a whole host of new releases, Leftroom is sure to carry on where it left off which is delivering high quality, diverse dance music.

Over the last few years, Bodyjack (aka Chris Finke) has been confidently carving a path very much his own through the stormy and unpredictable waters of electronic music, and refreshingly doing it on his terms. 

From the outset, his early productions on Hypercolour UTTU and Ultramajic showed incredible depth and dance floor sensibilities, frequently mastering that difficult line between genres that producers seek, but often fall short of (and often sounding contrived when trying). His vinyl-only label series “Bodytrax” (which he proudly runs with the Clone.nl crew in Holland) is an ongoing outlet for these productions; one that ebbs and flows through his passion for creating what he feels like organically and not what’s being hyped at the time. Drawing on his years of experience as a DJ and not being one to settle simply for “getting the job done”, his output is renowned for being incredibly effective and standing out in the sets of DJs the world over, with his music consistently featured on Radio 1 shows and essential mixes. In 2016, he dropped his critically “Cobra Effect EP” on DEXT which was championed by the likes of Black Madonna and Jackmaster, which led to an invitation by legendary pioneers Leftfield to remix "Song Of Life" on their historic 22 Year Anniversary re-release of “Leftism” in 2017. He also explored collaborations including “Hotshot” with long-time supporter Paul Woolford aka Special Request, and his new “Duel Series” which kicked off in late 2019 with Berlin legend Fiedel.

On the performance side, his early days saw him as a DMC DJ Championship competitor, and then cutting his teeth worldwide as a techno DJ (including a residency at the UK's largest and most respected parties “Atomic Jam” in Birmingham). His lifelong obsession with seeking out and collecting music has also paid off in spades in the form of his vast record collection, which he explores with mixes and shows he has produced for the likes of Radio 1, FACT, Mixmag, DJ Mag, and Rinse FM. Armed with these experiences and credentials, he is known as a technically skilled and incredibly intuitive DJ, taking risks where they count and never playing the same set twice. Tapping into his love affair with music and working the floor, he prides himself in being able to play pretty much anywhere, be it techno, electro & EBM in the main rooms of Berghain or Fabric, jacking Chicago and acid house alongside the originators in the “Dancemania Mixmag Lab”, or electronica & beyond supporting Leftfield on their Leftism 22 UK arena UK arena tour in 2017.
