Description: Originally released as a solo piano piece by Karen Biehl, Danse Du Coeur was very well received, achieving half a million streams across platforms. This new version has been arranged for strings, extending the track's appeal beyond solo piano and into a beautiful and reflective piece for a chamber strings ensemble.

The album was designed as an end to end connecting experience especially for those who often feel restless, difficult to stay relax, calm, content.

It is divided into 6 progressive pieces to get into a deeper journey with yourself. All you have to do during this experience is let go. The music is meant to touch you deeply, especially to get in touch with any negative emotions and release them out. 

We can not be truly relaxed and focused if we have negative or dark emotions within ourselves, and most of the time we may not even know they even exist. The album is designed to get in touch with that side and observe it, not be overwhelmed by fear but instead embrace it, release it and let it go. 

The first piece, “Into The Yin” is meant to prepare ourselves to get into this journey and slowly relax.

The second piece “Connecting” will progressively induce a state of deeper connection with our inner self.

The 3rd piece “Contemplating” will help us start observing our inner emotions, feel and explore what is within you.

I recently have been increasingly drawn to the piano as a main composing vehicle to express a calmer emotion. This song was recorded on a large upright felt piano to capture the emotional, intimate and tender tones of a gentle sunrise.

In this last track of the album, we will still feel a bit of emotion, but transcended with calm and inner peace. At the end of this experience we should feel more mindful, relaxed and content.

Cafe Contigo

The song originated while in a mountain retreat in the Vietnamese jungle a few months ago. Sitting near a waterfall and overlooking a valley filled with rising mists, I recorded some of the waterfall and birds noises around me, and jotted down my initial melodic ideas for the song. Back in the studio a few weeks later, I recorded the violins / cello, using different ambient effects to create layers of organic textures, bringing me back to the memory of that glorious morning in the mountains. Hope you will enjoy it as a connecting and relaxing moment!

World BEAThoven Project:

On the occasion of the 250th anniversary of nature enthusiast, humanist, visionary and composition genius Ludwig van Beethoven, an international network under the direction and idea of ​​cultural manager Darius Darek (Taxi MunDJal MusiX) produced an extraordinary album: Twenty melodies from Beethoven's works were recorded on non-European musical instruments by musicians based in the Cologne-Bonn region. This sample databank was created under the direction of Hans Zimmer's sample library developer Felix Ohlert and was then used by music producers worldwide as the basis for new tracks of electronic music.
The album now being released will be presented at festivals and in clubs and rearranged for a 35-piece brass orchestra (Youth Brass Band NRW).

As Darius Darek's academic background is geography, he has implemented sustainable, degrowth and minimalism based, fair, green, common-good-oriented and alternative ways of life into this music project. A transdisciplinary designed artivism towards a socio-ecological transformation: 

- to promote „cultural diversity“ the project is a collaboration with musicians of diverse music cultures to record a sample databank.

- to promote „cultural heritage“ the project aims to upcycle & remix almost forgotten music by worldwide electronic music producers.

- to promote „creative commons“ the sample databank and the remixes can be used and listened to for free.

- to promote „socio-ecological projects“ the remixes are presented at green, transformational or zero waste festivals, at intergenerational bicycle rides or in „freeboxes“ (https://tinyurl.com/freeboxvideo).

- to include „citizen participation“ a random local youth involvement and a worldwide production contest (in cooperation with Arts Council England) were carried out: www.globallocal.co.uk/remixspace/

- the project thus supports some of the sustainable development goals (SDGs): reduced inequalities, sustainable cities and communities, quality education, gender equality and climate action.

I'm a contemporary violinist, composer and music producer. After a classical training, I toured and recorded as a jazz and rock violinist for several years in multiple French bands, then moved to Australia to release my own music. 

On this page you will find music I'm passionate about, both improvised and written, where solo instruments can shine, in particular strings - from acoustic violins to electric cellos. I like to fuse these organic instruments with electronic influences to create a captivating experience and tell a story through each song, leaving a space for improvisation in my creation process.
