I've improvised this piece for the "TPC - Four Chord Challenge". It was a condition of the Challenge to use only these four chords: G minor, D minor, Eb major, F major (in that order).

Serge Seletskyy - TPC - Four Chord Challenge (F, C, G, Am)

Cello arrangement of the early 19th century Scottish Folk Song, Parcel of Rogues in a Nation (based on the poem by Robert Burns - 1791).


(The song's lyrics are in Lowlands Scots which is similar in origin but separate from English. Burns was a very literate and well-educated man and wrote both in English and Scots.)

Fareweel to a' our Scottish fame,
Fareweel our ancient glory;
Fareweel ev'n to the Scottish name,
Sae fam'd in martial story.
Now Sark rins over Solway sands,
An' Tweed rins to the ocean,
To mark where England's province stands-
Such a parcel of rogues in a nation!

What force or guile could not subdue,
Thro' many warlike ages,
Is wrought now by a coward few,
For hireling traitor's wages.
The English stell we could disdain,
Secure in valour's station;
But English gold has been our bane-
Such a parcel of rogues in a nation!

O would, ere I had seen the day
That Treason thus could sell us,
My auld grey head had lien in clay,
Wi' Bruce and loyal Wallace!

Luke Freeman "Freemondo" is a pianist, teacher and composer based Staffordshire UK. 

Arriving at the piano from a keyboard background in high school, his unique playing style fuses classical (in the broad sense) with a modern contemporary sound. Luke made his presence known on SoundCloud from 2011 regularly uploading improvisations and his own compositions. Joining The Piano Cloud community in early 2012 he helped support the group with moderation, taking part in the challenges and yearly meet ups. In the winter of 2013 Luke achieved his ABRSM grade 8 in piano and continues to study towards his DipABRSM qualification. 

Since August 2013 Luke has also been an active member of BABS (British Association of Barbershop Singers) and participates regularly in performances, singing the baritone part in the West Midlands based chorus - Anvil Chorus. Other roles within the club include, assistant section leader, proof reading new chorus songs and couriering quartets/choruses for LABS (Ladies Association of Barbershop Singers). 

Recently Luke's piano and barbershop ventures have crossed paths at events within the barbershop community, taking opportunities to perform his solo piano repertoire along side the chorus.
