Love listening to, creating and sharing my music and music I like with other music lovers! Music, it really does involve alot of music...

With one foot planted firmly in the 80s and the other kicking open the next sonic frontier, Baldhero & Van Whelan are dedicated to the proposition that all synthwave is not created equal. Accomplished recording artists in their own right, the Canadian duo joined forces in 2017 to release their bold debut “LA to Mars”—an epic concept album introducing synth enthusiasts to their signature driving basslines and mesmeric drum beats. Their latest release, “Hero’s Journey”, charts the rapid rise of a protagonist riding the soundtrack of some of the most familiar sounds you’ve never heard before. Indebted to the past but never derivative, Baldhero & Van Whelan are at once accessible and challenging, nostalgic and progressive and unabashedly your father’s synthwave.

All of these songs were made using various analogue synths, drum machines and effects. In no particular order: Korg MS20, Ensoniq ESQ-M, Roland Juno 60, Roland Jupiter 4, Roland SH-101, Roland TR-505/TR-707/TR-808/TR-909, Roland RE-201 Space Echo, SRE-555, Moog Multimoog, SCI Prophet 5, Paia Fatman, Eurorack modular synth, Casio VL-tone, Casio SK-1, and a Korg Polysix. Everything is recorded through an RME FIreface 800 and into Cubase 6.5. 
I composed, recorded and mixed/remixed all of these songs (with a couple of exceptions).

After a long time away from making music (because of a broken computer) I began producing again in May of 2019 and years before that was in a few Rock and Punk bands that fell through, now I just make House, Hip Hop or whatever comes to mind.
This is just a thing I do for fun.
