Proem, otherwise known as Richard Bailey, has been releasing music since 1999 on labels like merck, n5MD, and Hydrant. He started experimenting with electronic devices at the age of 19, using three thrift store turntables, some tape decks, a few garage sale Casio SK-5s, and some circuit bent bargain bin keyboards. He has released albums, EPs and remixes on labels across the IDM scene and is regarded as one of the early members of the strong US based IDM scene that started around 2000...

After 10 years working as a collective in order to create a movement where the musical aspirations that define us had their place, in Hypnotica Colectiva we have taken the decission of expanding our horizons and thrown ourselves into the rest of aspects that conform electronic music culture.
One of the results of this decission is Hypnotica Colectiva Records, the platform where we'll try to reflect our musical values.

Without any inhibition, without labels, without expiring date, without any predominant doctrine. Our intention will be to publish the work of all those artists that we could identify with. The known, and the yet to know. As you could be.

Hypnotica Colectiva pretends to start its way as a vinyl pressing based record label. Although each release will be digitally distributed after a while. Our catalogue will be hosted in Bandcamp. And of course, every release will be mastered by high level professional studios.
