4 Pieces from my time in Montreal. Circle to Circle was composed by Maxime Daigneault for myself as part of an effort to commission new experimental works for steel pan. Travel Diary is a charming vignette by Paul Lansky for two percussionists playing a myriad of instruments. The third movement, "Lost in Philly" explores some interesting polymeter using wood, drum and high metal sounds. Volumes is an exciting duet for vibraphone and steel pan written by Missy Mazzoli. Finally, Music for Bass Clarinet and Two Vibraphones is a wonderfully introspective piece by Maxime Fillion that he wrote during his composition studies at McGill University.
