A few months ago, Jamie and I collaborated on this track, which I thought came out pretty well.  Today Mirko (@Stringburner) said he liked the tune and would like to contribute to it.  So he sent me a bass track, I remixed with his playing added, and then remastered the track.  I really like the result and the bass is a great addition.  It's always nice to revisit these tracks after a while and try to improve them.

This is another track that came together pretty quickly. The groove was inspired by some jamming I heard a few days ago and played along with for a while. Once you have an idea what you're going for, these tracks can come together easily and take on a life of their own.

This one is me on guitars and bass and Jamie on organ and synth. Drums are loops from beta monkey's funk drums collection.

I am not good at naming these tracks and am functioning on little sleep, but after the fact I realized that my playing on this track is sort of inspired by the Grateful Dead's 'Help on the Way/Slipknot', which is a really cool tune and I unconsciously borrowed some of that vibe. Jamie sounds great as usual and is pushing it hard on this one. Hope you enjoy :)

Lynda Faye and Fred Gold, together, formed the Illinois Harmony Connection, at SoundClick, and You Tube. Fred's in Illinois, Lynda in CA, so all of our music duos etc were prepared in CyberSpace, thanks to Audacity! I'm apparently an alto and a soprano-But I attended Pepperdine College on a violin scholarship, and also gave opera a shot, but I gave up on performing it! Allot of my songs are cross-overs, I realize that----Country-Gospel, Classical-Folk, along with a few comical songs. I'm a classical violinist at heart, but taught myself enough guitar with a few great influences advising me here and there (which you can hear on some of my solos!) Ben Benay wanted to teach me some arranging techniques, but I didn't have the tenacity; He said if I didn't study classical guitar, I'd never be able to write more than country folk;Guess he was right, but then the violin influence stepped in- when he heard  my humming of the violin parts, he said, "Lynda, you ARE an arranger ?" ; Paula Drake tried too, for a few years, and she's in her 80's a still goin' strong!  but I kept continuing to plug away at the writing!I had to edit this, sadly, as classmate Fred Gold (Railsback) lost his beloved wife, Ella May, last August. I'm trying to encourage him to keep at that guitar; but I'm sure he's not much in the mood; We dedicated "Ella's Garden", the song we're recorded a few years ago, as Ella's memory -as the video on "I Wanna go Back" was filmed IN Ella's back yard garden, and the song has now taken on special meaning to both of us. Won't be a "replacement for" Fred, but I found both Adriano Fontana's versatility and guitar expertise, and "Ancolies" singing a few of my songs in French for me. Won't be easy to find! I'm seeking to find some competent "versatile" musicians (and composers) who love children and have hopes for music in future generations, and perhaps a strong History Buff, to help with several children's musicals. I welcome other singers to sing my originals---My goal has never been to "be" a great singer; but to connect appropriate singers TO some of my songs: All three genres. My Folky MOR album is "Movin' On" at CDBaby. , I've "been there done that-nite clubs, Holiday Inn lounges from Ca. to Pennsylvania; I refused the Vegas offers! (too much writing to do!)  A songwriter's "Job", like most housewives...is never done, now, is it ?
Pls see the attitude of most of them who are married TO, some of those songwriters, in the "Songwriters' Serenade", or, as I'm always having difficulty finding "concise" titles...." All You Got is Words!" Some of my folky-country is on my album at CDBaby, titled "Movin On"...and I am currently trying to assemble twenty songs for " Friends, Love Songs and Heartaches." Seems viewers liked the " remakes" of the Oldies-I attribute that to Adriano's working his way in and out and around my Acapella tracks, I sent to him; I'm not easy to work with because I have trouble keeping "consistent  rhythms' . Of course Adrian has a word in Italian for that. Maybe HE should solo on a few of my songs and I'll back him on guitar; Course those would then become comedy, yes Adriano ?

I've been playing guitar with varying degrees of devotion for about 30 years. I love to play and record every chance I get and have really enjoyed my time on SC so far.  My musical influences are guitar greats such as Hendrix, SRV, Jerry Garcia, Jimmy Page, Duane Allman, Robben Ford, Mike Bloomfield, Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks. I love listening to other people's music and drawing inspiration from their talents.  Most of all I appreciate all of the support from the community here and look forward to spending a lot more time. :)

Indie artist defiantButterfly / introverts Dancing, is a south Florida based singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, recording artist that loves to rock and loves electronica and loves smashing them together! Some songs fit into genres, and sometimes genres get mashed up in the songs creating hybrids of new music. Real instruments, real singing, real music made by hand with love. No cutting and pasting of loops. No silly auto tune type robot voice filters that make anyone sound like everyone. 
As a boy, he acquired his first guitar after it was thrown out the window by a neighbor who was pissed off because he couldn’t play it worth a damn. When dB asked if he could keep the discarded guitar, the neighbor said, “You can ram it up your ass for all I care”.  dB declined to perform that action, but decided to learn how to play it instead. Soon after, an older kid from the neighborhood screeched his car to a halt, pulled a broken surfboard out of the back and tossed it to dB and his brother saying, “here punks, learn how to surf you little rats”, then screeched off in a cloud of tire smoke. dB and his brother decided that was an action they would perform. Those two discarded artists tools set dB on a path of adventure and creative expression that directed many of his life choices that were made in defiance of a status quo existence.  He was also a military kid that moved around the world constantly and never lived in one place for long. That upbringing made him a keen observer of the world and people. As dB says, “Not being a part of any particular scene or group allowed me to be open minded about pretty much everything. The ones that accepted and befriended me were of all different backgrounds, races, and identities and didn't care that I didn't fit in, they were the misfits also, they were open minded, so they understood.” That early life taught him to always see the world with fresh eyes, to stay open minded, to be adventurous, to seek out new ideas and experiences, to go his own way and find his own voice and song writing style. Now an accomplished musician and world traveler, dB continues to stay open to new ideas, experiences, people, art, and music. “I’ve learned that our lives are all so different, but we feel the same things. So, I write songs about feelings that everyone can relate to in a way that you can bring your own stories and life experiences to the songs and feel those things in a way that makes sense to you. The Name
"The idea of defiantButterfly as a name came as I was watching a butterfly make its way through the world on a windy day. As the strong winds swirled around, the butterfly was sometimes caught up in the headwinds and blown away from its intentions. In spite of the obstacles the world was throwing at it, the butterfly continued on its journey, making headway here, forced to go with the winds there. No matter which way it was moving, whether on its hoped for path or whilst being blown off course by the winds of fate, it was beautiful. The butterfly seemed to defy nature and logic. On the surface it seemed as if it was too fragile and beautiful to exists in this harsh environment, but it clearly had the strength and wherewithal continue its life dance despite the obstacles the world was throwing at it, and all the while it was beautiful. It struck me as kind of metaphor for artistic expression and what artists do. Our triumphs and struggles inspire us to create our art, then we throw it into the air and can only watch as it is taken by the winds of an indifferent world."
