With the release of our third annual Various Artists Compilation, we’re celebrating three years of LAPS Recordings—and honestly, we can hardly believe it ourselves. What started as a small hobby project has grown into a solid underground label with a clear vision, a loyal community, and a catalogue were genuinely proud of. To mark this anniversary, VA003 brings together a diverse collection of tracks that reflect the full spectrum of our sound—from deep, hypnotic techno to high-energy peak-time bangers, groovy minimal cuts, and melodic journeys. It’s a snapshot of everything LAPS stands for: quality, diversity, and an uncompromising dedication to underground music. This year's edition features a blend of familiar faces and exciting newcomers. Some of the artists on this compilation have already become a part of the LAPS family through past releases, while others are making their debut—some of whom you'll definitely hear more from in the coming months. This VA acts as both a celebration and a preview of what’s to come. In a time when the techno scene is shifting rapidly—and not always to everyone’s liking—we want to take this moment to reaffirm who we are. We’re committed to pushing forward with an open mind, staying true to our roots, and supporting innovative, quality-driven electronic music in all its forms. Most importantly, we want to say thank you—to the artists who trust us with their music, to the dancers and DJs who keep the tracks alive on dancefloors, and to everyone who's been part of this journey so far. With the release of our third annual Various Artists Compilation, we’re celebrating three years of LAPS Recordings! The fifth single of the VA brings some serious groove pressure: Sandro Mure returns after his successful debut last year with "Top Tier", which landed in Beatports Hard Techno charts. Now he’s back with "Lap 2", a dark and driving Hard Techno weapon infused with heavy Hardgroove energy. We’re also excited to welcome two new names to the label: HXTC from Stuttgart and SOTP from Saarbrücken. HXTC, known as the former curator for Animarum Black, joins forces with SOTP on "Just Dubbin' Around", a refreshing blend of Raw and Hardgroove Techno with Dubby textures and a more playful vibe. Big welcome to the family!

Time to enter more experimental territories: known LAPS-Members since day one, Kid Kun and Van Kost are back with two groovy breakbeat tunes! Kid Kun’s "1 4 The System" is dark, driving and a pleasure for every sounddesign enthusiast. Van Kost follows with "Liquid Black" which is more chill and dub-influenced. Last but not least we welcome "Timo Haege" from Hamburg, a good friend of our crew with his raw, minimalistic and experimental tune "WFSP"

We are hyped to welcome back our latest family member Lu:cas as well as Hach (DE) for the double amount of Peak-Time power! "Game Over" is the perfect tune for every hour: chill, atmospheric but also driving and energetic! Hach follows in his familiar driving, melancholic and Trance-influenced style with "Always In My Heart" - two tunes that are definetly worth listening to!

With the release of our third annual Various Artists Compilation, we’re celebrating three years of LAPS Recordings! For the first single we welcome back IN-Sane from Italy and it’s a pleasure to welcome a new face to the family: hinueber from South Germany! He opens up the VA with a groovy, Minimal-influenced Melodic-Techno tune named "Moti". IN-Sane follows with his familiar percussive and driving Peak-Time sound: "Blackout" is a dark, energetic track that shouldn’t be missing on any Peak-Time playlist!

With the release of our third annual Various Artists Compilation, we’re celebrating three years of LAPS Recordings. The fourth single of the VA comes with raw, uncompromising Techno from Mainz and Hannover, Germany. Albrecht opens with "Dream Sequence" in his straightforward but dreamy style. Founding member Lenn Reich is back with "Phlox", dark and captivating as we know his sound. Also from Hannover we welcome "Re." with his groovy, playful but yet driving Techno tune "Tool V".

With the release of our third annual Various Artists Compilation, we’re celebrating three years of LAPS Recordings! For the sixth single we welcome Kolibrix, a new face on the label coming from Southern Germany. His track "I Dont Understand You" delivers relentless Hard Techno pressure with a unique twist: two contrasting basslines—one deep and rumbling, the other fast and Psy-influenced—create a distinctive, high-intensity dynamic. Welcome aboard, Kolibrix!

With the release of our third annual Various Artists Compilation, we’re celebrating three years of LAPS Recordings! The seventh and final single of this year’s VA comes from Mind Chemistry, the long-standing duo project of our label founders, teaming up with Ekko and Hans Pech. "Smoke Up" is a raw, genre-bending Hard Techno cut that fuses the past and present: distorted Industrial and Schranz elements meet punchy 303s and percussive layers, while a grimey UK vocal and rave stabs add a modern touch. As if that wasn’t enough, the break dives into full-on Drum & Bass before slamming back into a filthy Oldschool drop. A bold finish to the VA—and a proper nod to our roots.

Techno is colourful.

We are LAPS Recordings, a young, growing Techno Label from Germany! The name "LAPS" is an acronym containing the initials of our 4 founding members. At the same time it highlights the concept of time, which is a topic all our productions will revolve around! 

Coming from very different musical backgrounds, the core substance of our label sound revolves around dark, energetic and emotional melodies, forceful kickdrums and driving basslines. Those main topics reappear in all of our productions, but so do the individual tastes of all founding members.
