**Content Warning: Themes of depression and suicidal ideation**

This is a studio recording of a very personal story I wrote about my childhood, edited together with a live recording of my music from "Under the Sheets," a show I co-created and performed with Pat McMaster for the St-Ambroise Montreal Fringe Festival.

In the original show, I told the story first, and then followed it with a live improvised interpretation of the story on electrified-acoustic violin, grounded in a loosely-planned structure. Each of the six nights I performed it were different, depending on my delivery of the story and the atmosphere in the audience.

Lauren is an ICF-certified life coach, violinist, and storyteller currently based in Nova Scotia, Canada. As the founder of Kitsune Coaching, Lauren loves working with Colorful Beings stuck in Black and White. She inspires people who identify as 2SLGBTQIA, neurodivergent, creative, or simply "weird" to let go of outside expectations, tap into their own wisdom, and make changes that propel them forward into more authentic, fulfilling lives. 

In a past life, she performed violin regularly with the Montreal Symphony and the National Arts Centre Orchestras. Now, she is more interested in artistic genres that allow her to tell her own stories; so that she can connect on a deeper level with her audiences.
