Hidekazu Imashige, conocido como Gallery Six, es un artista y compositor basado en Miyoshi Hiroshima, Japón. Su tema: “multidireccionalmente considerando la estética, muy familiar y usualmente olvidada, escondida en la naturaleza y en los eventos, finalmente se nos revela”. Con esta idea ha estado realizando bocetos de sonido, mezclando sonidos drone, dirigiéndose a dónde sea que su corazón le lleve.

Su corazón ha aterrizado en la etiqueta de Diffuse Reality Records, Teorema, en la que presenta "The Inner World", un trabajo compuesto de nueve pistas originales.

Nuestro estreno para esta pista se llama 'Vortex'. "Vortex" en español significa "vórtice", y refiere a un torbellino, remolino o a un centro de un ciclón. Dentro de este trabajo, se trata de un vórtice sutil y aterciopelado, lleno de delicado ambiental.

Prominent Iranian artist Siavash Amini continues a triptych of works with ‘Subsiding’, an album of instrumental ambient drone. His most full and detailed sound to date illustrates Amini’s ability to bring together modern classical composition with that of controlled noise, granular synthesis, and atmospheric soundscape. Both monolithic and micro sound sculptures coexist within a perfect balance, a mix which makes for an all encompassing listen across the audio spectrum, funereal yet uplifting.

Complete with striking cover photography by Alex Kozobolis, “Subsiding” will be available on glass-mastered CD in digipack sleeves (run of 200) and digital formats.

A variation of a patch I was working on earlier this week, but decided to record some guitar into Morphagene, and this is what transpired...Perhaps my favorite patch to date.  Pam's New Workout has really opened up the modular for me, as she is providing modulation and master clock to the entire system.  Some random gates are triggering Tides (from Intell's Noise Tools), which is providing some fast envelopes for Rings, which in turn is receiving semi-random sequences from the o_C, which is receiving some 'swing' CV from the SQ-1 (which is being clocked/CV swung from the MFB Dual LFO).  The 0-Coast and Morphagene are also being modulated by Pam.  Some processing by Clouds in granular mode, as well as the always present CT5, Generation Loss, Avalanche Run, Dark Star, DD3, & Julia...Timefactor on a return channel.  Recorded live into Albleton, with a little knob wiggling throughout, and a bit of EQ on the final render.

In a time of lean-back playlist listening, it's important to give due attention and credit to the composers, musicians and producers that make up our vast musical world. This series hopes to not only showcase music favoured by the artist, but also help connect the dots between their sound and that of the musical network that surrounds them.

In this first edition, Ben Tatlow delivers a wonderfully flowing mix through some of his current favourites, as well as his own projects. Moving cinematic pieces, with particular emphasis on piano composition, as well as some more sparse tracks, all tied together in lush sustain.
