Haiku featured in the collection "Fire on the Mountain: the Selected Haiku of a Wandering Zen Monk Taneda Santôka". Japanese, and English translated by Hisashi Miura and James Green.

A wandering poet and ascetic Zen priest, Santōka was a disciple of Ogiwara Seisensui, one of the first poets to discard the traditional use of the 5-7-5 structure in haiku.

Santōka’s poetry emphasizes the necessity of sabi (solitude) in order to achieve spiritual enlightenment and serenity.

For this I used 3 instances of VCV Rack running Voxglitch ArpSeq within Ableton Live. In Live, I was running FL Studio with Sytrus loaded, Live's Wavetable and Arturia's Arp 2600. From about 23 minutes, I used this small section towards the end and did a bit of editing.

This original version of "So Glad To See You Again" was submitted as part of Naviar Haiku 571, Stillness.

Miura Chora (1729-1780) was a Japanese poet from Toba (present-day Mie Prefecture). Early in his career, he came into contact with the Teimon School, and bonded with the great Yosa Buson. An admirer of Matsuo Bashō, he strived for a return to the simple tones and spirit of the latter's poetics, criticizing the vulgarization of haiku of his era and advocating the so-called "return" to a Bashō's style.

Dropping a kind of teaser remix of sounds from two different upcoming album projects with some dubded synth embellishement, so this is a unique blend. Field recordings from Baltic coast, synthesizers and percussion by yours truly. JG

All done with Voltage Modular (Virtual modular environment) from Cherry audio making heavy use of the modules from Dome Music Technologies.  There were too many elements to record this in one go, I neither have enough physical controls of hands. so split it into sections; each recorded as a live, one take performance, following on from and adding to each other.  

I think I hit all the elements for this one.
Curve of Time: A bit of obvious vintage synth, cheesy but who doesn't enjoy a bit of quality Gouda? 
One thought takes flight from the rest.
And I can scent a rose.
But beyond the obvious dairy products placing the element is up to you.

I'm primarily a visual artist both 2D and 3D, for the last decade I've operated almost exclusively in the digital 3D realm.   since the late 80s I've made periodic forays into the sonic world, MIDI sequencing, minimalism, musique concrète, found sounds  and improvisation. I am seldom happy with anything and seldom consider a piece finished.
