We are back with a fantastic guest mix by one of our favorite  family member, DJ Martin Taylor (@djmartintaylor) of the UK. This episode was suppose to be up last week but because of schedule conflicts (from my end) I had to push it to this week. I'm actually glad I did because Martin took it up a notch on the 'ready to dance' set as I did last week. So in reality I kind of open up for him and warmed you guys up to his amazing selections. This week we are joined by Puerto Rican DJ and producer, Daisybelle, whose origins have influenced her groovy, deep, soulful style.

Her impressively eclectic productions span nu-disco, house, deep house, and world, all possessing a strong groove. As a DJ she has played regularly at Fabric, London, and has supported artists including Jimpster, Christian Burkhardt, Nick Curly & Dana Ruh. 

She recently joined forces with Tasty Lopez on Future Disco with nu-disco summer anthem, ‘Starlight’. The track has received a euphoric peak-time party remix from Never Dull which will be released on the 3rd of September.

Future Disco Radio - 099 - Daisybelle Guest Mix

The NDYD Radio Show is back this week with the usual faster more upbeat tempo. I'm glad that people liked last week's downtempo episode and that a bunch of new followers jumped on board because of it but I don't want to mislead any of the new people that that is our usual format. This episode is more the norm but from time to time I do like to take a trip to the lounge, hip hop, edits, and disco side. I promise that more episodes ike that are coming but I can't ignore the tons of great new music coming out weekly such as some of the new tracks in this episode (with some edits thrown in). The NDYD Radio Show EP224

EP-226 is here! and a couple of notes about it. First, yes it is my B-day episode cause it falls on the day i recorded it this year. Secondly, I recorded this episode right after I went to see and hear Louie Vega play here in Hollywood as he was head-lining a DEEP event with Marques Wyatt . He, being the Master that he is, played AMAZING and got me so inspired that as soon as I got home (which was real late) I turned on the decks and got cooking. You can hear how he inspired me from the beginning of the show. Since it was my B-day a couple of friends joined me and well, I played for them and turned on the recorder. Nobody had to twist my rubber arm for that. I was having so much fun that I even took out a couple of vinyl records that I still had and used to play in the mid-80s when I was into the whole New Wave thing in High School and College.

For the millennial fans, vinyl records are 12" plastic discs that we used to physically touch to cue up and to play music from 😁

It sucks to get old but it sure is fun to still play music - and it keeps me young 😉

If last week was the 'birthday episode' then this week it's the 'hangover episode'.Still recuperating from the shenanigans so this one started off slow with some mid-tempo and hip hop. As the hair of the dog kicked in i up the tempo and got a little more funky. As always enjoy and see you again next week.

Ricardo Torres, a West Coast DJ, is known for blending deep, soulful house and disco with a smooth, sultry West Coast vibe. His music is crafted for true dance music enthusiasts, delivering uplifting, groovy, and sexy experiences rooted in the underground scene.

Ricardo’s DJ journey began in 1987 at a college radio station in Montreal, Canada, where he initially spun industrial electronic music. By 1988, he was introduced to Chicago House and was captivated by its fresh energy, changing his musical direction. In 1995, he moved to Los Angeles, where the city’s sun-drenched, soulful vibe and influences from DJs like Jay-J, Marques Wyatt, Julius Papp, Mark Farina, and Miguel Migs drew him toward the deeper West Coast sound.

In 2000, Ricardo pioneered sharing his mixes online, a bold and innovative step that garnered him international recognition. This exposure led to global performances and opportunities, while he also became a syndicated radio host on satellite and online platforms.

Around 2016 Ricardo partnered with Germany’s Nu Disco Your Disco (NDYD), a leading advocate for the Nu Disco genre. Their collaboration birthed the NDYD Radio Show, which Ricardo hosts weekly, showcasing top global talent and steadily growing a loyal listener base. For Ricardo, Nu Disco offers a modern bridge for the soulful West Coast vibe to resonate with newer generations.

While underground music trends have evolved over the decades, Ricardo’s passion remains unwavering: playing music that inspires people to get up, dance, and celebrate the timeless groove of house music.
