A test recording of me, playing a Fugue in C Maj, written down by J.S. Bach into a notebook belonging to his son (The Klavierbuchlein fur Wilhelm Friedemann), who along with his siblings (Including Carl Philip Emmanuel), also grew up to become a prolific composer. The elder Bach began compiling this 'Klavierbuchlein' when his son was 9 yrs old.

There’s a lot I can say about his piece, as with any piece by “the Master”. But it could fill a book, so I’d rather leave a little solfeggio for those who are interested in music. “La so fa mi re….Do”… Can you hear where this is placed within the music?

The harpsichord I am playing on is a single manual original English spinet being restored by Curtis Berak, a harpsichord builder from Los Angeles who serves Southern California and beyond. Curtis has been building harpsichords for decades and constantly provides his instruments to venues for concerts of all sorts. 

As they are such rare instruments, many famous harpsichordists happen to have played his instruments, some names include Pierre Hantai, Jean Rondeau, Justin Taylor along with many others. 

I would like to thank Curtis for being so generous as to let me experiment with his instruments, but also for being a great friend.
