Taking My Last Breath So We Can Live A Good Life If it's possible that we have only one life on this little old planet Earth what a waste to waste any of that time. Knowing you're here, I'm guessing you will feel the same as me too. So............................. What would happen if we were to imagine going to the end of our time line of the future and taking our last breath and look back on what we want to have achieved in that life time? And because it's in our imagination you can do this imagining everything you want to have done, experienced - the sight, sounds and feelings of all your dreams having been truly realized. Oh! and probably a bit more because you can&nbsp;&nbsp; :O) And it's how we can take notice of those reminders and Ah-Ha moments that will guide us to fulfill this life with amazing times. Changing Your Attitude To Imposter Syndrome When you look at things differently the things you look at are different, I love that saying. So if we change the way we look at Imposter syndrome, change our attitude, Imposter syndrome changes too if not disappears. And we all suffer from Imposter Syndrome in one form or another, in different contexts, and no one escapes from it - from the rich, the famous to little old you and me. A little warning there is 4 or 5 sort of swear words near the end of the episode but they do make sense So what is it?: Imposter syndrome, a psychological phenomenon, corrodes self-esteem, creating a constant fear of being exposed as a fraud despite achievements. Individuals afflicted often doubt their abilities, attributing success to luck or circumstance rather than competence, leading to chronic stress, anxiety, and depression. This pervasive insecurity hampers professional growth, impeding career advancement and stifling creativity. Relationships suffer as affected individuals struggle to accept praise or connect authentically.&nbsp; Whoa!!!! So by changing our attitude to all of the above would be a good thing - Right? And if we keep your unconscious mind's positive intention to keep you safe, as well as seeing and feeling differently, that is being competent and confident we should be onto a winner. Reviewing The Past To Move Forward     Now, I know what you're thinking – why dwell on the past? Isn't personal development all about the future? Well, yes and no. Here's the thing: understanding our past is like having a map. It shows us where we've been, helps us see the patterns in our journey, and guides us toward where we want to go. Think about it – when you look back at your own life, what do you see? Moments of triumph, sure, but also those stumbles and falls. And guess what? Both are equally valuable. Those victories? They remind you of your strengths and capabilities. Those mistakes? They’re not failures; they're lessons in disguise, packed with insights about what to avoid and how to navigate obstacles more effectively. Let's take a practical example: maybe you started a project that didn’t quite hit the mark. Instead of brushing it off, dissect it. What worked? What didn’t? What could you do differently next time? This kind of reflection transforms past experiences into stepping stones rather than stumbling blocks. On a broader scale, societies do the same thing. By studying historical events, we gain a collective wisdom. Economic policies that led to booms or busts, social movements that brought about change – all these offer blueprints. Feel Good and Getting Better it me or do we all want everything NOW! Instantaneously or even quicker.I think we've fallen into the trap that instant gratification is the thing. But I see it in so many different ways that people, want something right now. Right now at the latest, tomorrow. You know, everything you order has got to be here tomorrow. Can't wait. Got to have it. And it's like a race, even. It's not just getting things to be able to do things to, you know, maybe in this land, this life of personal development, there's a race to get somewhere quicker, to find that hack. And I hate the word hack, you know that. To learn something quicker, to have it now, to be able to do these things instant, bloody taneously. And it's. Is it? Or is it? Or is it. Is that search for instant gratification feeling good right now, no delay. It's got to happen now. And I think when you have that instant gratification, it just doesn't last. Because the thing...

Trying to leave this little old world and the people I meet in a better place then when I first met them.

I now love helping making changes in people and guiding them to create the life they really want.
 
A personal look at me:
 
The above sentence was not always the case and being the best in the financial realms of the building industry was my aim and getting there by any means. I now know this is, and was, the worst way ~ even if I did make director of one of the largest building companies in Cambridge by the age of 30.
 
One of the major realisations came on my first ever training in hypnosis. I found that it’s not a win lose world and that a win win is only a low basis to live.
 
Being true to your beliefs and coming from a place of integrity where service is paramount. This understanding together with lots of NLP skills helped create my last partnership in the building industry grow from a turnover of £800k to £16m in less than twelve years and that can only be done with giving more than expected.
 
Another shaping of me came from two traumatic events in my life that happened within six months of each other which created a number of major changes in me and by beliefs in what is possible. I have written about my experience and how I dealt with it but more importantly it really showed me my love for my three boys and theirs for me and resulted in the step up to become a trainer of NLP (which I never intended) and my close and exciting work with two of my sons. In supporting Joseph and help create change in people in our training’s and his wonderful life changing ‘Be your potential weekend’ and with Luke the continuing development of Cambridge Hypnotherapy and Hypnosis processes. My relationship with my third son Daniel just keeps getting better and better too.
 
Not knowing how good I had become in change work in the beginning I generally studied, practiced and saw clients then things started to happen when I started to work following just my instincts. Two clients come to mind both in effect dying from the effects of what was happening to them and the way they felt and within one and two sessions respectively not only won the will to live they changed virtually in front of my eyes and being apart of that process was and is the best feeling alive.
