A cover of the chart topping house anthem from 1989 'Sun Rising', revamped and updated with an amazing vocal performance by Shaun Colwill. A funky live bass groove by Yolanda Charles MBE and accompanied by the coolest Guitar by Stevie P, making this another memorable club monster by Cafe 432. The enchanting vocal performance of the track is an original recording of Anna-Rose Marshall, performing O'Euchari in Leta Via.  The song was written almost 900 years ago and sung in Latin by the young soprano.

I believe yesterday, in the description for the heavy distorted guitar driven track "Quantivalence," I did promise that today would bring something completely different.  

If you thought there'd be another Python sampling Interbay track, I can't blame you--but no.  I actually meant "something completely different"...and I don't think you can get much more different from yesterday's posted track than today's posted track, "Sleeplessness."  

This ominous to the point of dread, downtempo, atmospheric, moody, and sparse track feels like I should have rushed it out for Spooky Week...or, for some of us, the day after election day.  I know of many people who posted on Facebook about their not being able to sleep.  

This Interbay track wouldn't have cured that, I don't think...but it would have been an appropriate soundtrack for their insomnia.  Those gothy chorused and echo drenched single plucked guitar (or is it bass?) notes...the endless delay put on the clap machine...synths that seem like they are ushering you towards a dream world...the funereal organ, the simply strummed acoustic guitar, the foghorn bass synth, and the surprisingly nimble electric bass guitar...none of it is in any hurry to get anywhere--it just sort of floats along...just as the deep voiced singer points out that he is still not floating off to sleep.  

I'm sure some of you who are attuned to the music from the early years of MTV will recognize the vocal sample without having to do much work, nor should you feel obligated to think about the implications, much less worry over situations.  I know it'll be all right and I'm sure Icarus will survive.  (The sample is processed to the point of oblivion...but that processing sure helps it fit the vibe of this dark, dubby track.)  

As always, no matter which direction these Interbay tracks take you (much less the whiplash you'll sometimes feel,) I'm glad you're here, paying attention, and giving these tracks a listen.  Means the world to me.  (You could give it a like, a repost, a share...that's important too!  As are comments, playlistings and, definitely, follows.  The follows are important because there are new Interbay tracks being posted every day (so far!) and you wouldn't want to miss any of them!)
