A neurodivergent mind trying to survive the noise, the lights, the looks, the labels. Misunderstood by teachers. Isolated by classmates. Always one step behind, or three steps ahead, but never quite where the world expects.

Until one quiet moment, and in my case, the sound of a clarinet.
It didn’t fix everything, but it gave my chaos a rhythm, and my mind some space to breathe.
(It won’t be the answer for everyone, but it helped me begin to find my way.)

I had the very good fortune to connect with Andy H aka “Noobly” a few months ago over music that we mutually admired and we agreed to find a future opportunity to collaborate. This is the result. Noobly’s beautifully rich track, propelled by his soaring guitar work, felt like a kind of call to prayer to my ear. I tried to echo this somewhat in singing the bridge. Lyrically, just for kicks I used the Socratic Method to construct the verses (persuasion through Q&A) so that this song’s meaning becomes self-evident and hopefully more of a personal experience for each listener. Hey there! I’m Phil Dutton, a music enthusiast, producer, composer, and singer from the UK. Alongside my long-time song writing partner, Les Corlett (who’s also an incredible vocalist—check out our older Caroda material!), we’re thrilled to have you here.

Our latest album, ‘BLACK ICE’ is now up on Soundcloud. It’s our sixth album in the last 20 months, and we’re genuinely proud of the tracks we’ve crafted together. We create all our music at home using Cakewalk on a trusty PC.
