The origin to this song is a guitar track by REKHA. I added som organ, synth bass and a keyboard played drum track as well as wrote lyrics and sang the underlying male vocal. Crying For You was first recorded with my tortured vocals maybe 1-2 years ago.  We've just re-recorded the whole thing, shortened it a little, but most importantly gave the song the vocals it deserved. Crying For You is a ballad that floats like a boat on a gentle river.  We hope you like this newest (and almost final - the vault is almost empty) entry.  It's been fun revisiting these songs and seeing whether they stood up to closer scrutiny (many did not and will stay in the vault where they belong). Being originally a very short & simple song I wrote about a traumatic event (translated lyrics below), I have been working separately on verses and refrain, then trying new ways to combine and glue them.

A couple of months ago, Rodolfo Planes from Tierra del Fuego sent me a wonderful piece of music (in a different key and without lead guitar) that he hoped I’d write lyrics for… 
I was so excited that the first verse popped into my head almost straightaway, and with great patience and honesty, Rodolfo lead me through the learning curve that would be the gestation of this song.
The passionate music somehow stirred in me a sense of longing and belonging, combined with the enforced isolation from loved ones during lockdown. I think Rodolfo’s music helped me express this powerfully.
His solo still continues to move me even after countless listens. I am very grateful to him for this opportunity and I sincerely hope we can work on other projects.
