This is first of the four tracks of a new collaboration with my music friend Pete Swinton. I will be re-working some of his tracks from his excellent Butterfly and Ship album.

It was mixed in the AUM app on my iPad and used  iPad apps such as Hillman Synth, Euclidian, Nembrini Delay, Grand Finale, Fluss and Bleass Chorus.

EDA BROWN_MAGICAL SOUP CURRY

A long dry spell ended recently with the storm recorded for this piece. As you can hear toward the end, no one was happier to see the rain than the frogs. I recorded the storm and frogs with a Zoom H1n, all synth on this track comes from the Korg Volca Modular with additional delay and reverb via the Korg NTS-1.

There are some beats here, just for a change. They are made with some silicone membranes whose normal use would be to cover food bowls. Soma ROAT and Aqusmatiq Dedalus Delay add a little of controlled chaos.

remnants (2017-18) investigates a single multiphonic on the violoncello. I wanted to provide a glimpse of the vast world that exists in one fleeting sound, and to allow the smallest changes within the sound to have maximum significance.
