The first 111 tracks are taken directly from my pal goawayface's Likes list, because that man has exquisite taste in tunes, and as such serves as a fab test audience*. 
From track 112 up until around 125, it's me trying to predict which would end up on his list, which is harder than it sounds, because sometimes he'd throw me a curveball. Yer gonna be goddamn sure that it's a highlight, though, if it's on here.

*Or he did. Fat fuck ghosted me >:( for being a needy cunt, granted :/. but it made me a better person in the long run. I'm still needy don't get me wrong, but I'm less obnoxious now than I was. Doesn't mean I don't still wish he had chosen a method of excommunication besides flat-out stopping ;(

The two songs seemed very similar in tone, and they're both from SNES RPGs, so I figured I'd just make a point of intersection, of sorts.

OOOOkay, let's talk about The Biolizard. I've spoken nothing about this at all in the time it's been in my files, so this will seem like a whole lot of sound in a small amount of time. Altogether I spent something like 24-36 hours I think to get to where I am total, and it's still not done, but I haven't touched it since July 13th, so I'm uploading what I have and leaving it until further notice. It's a damn shame because it's a relatively bumpin' cover in my opinion, but for some reason my body doesn't wanna touch it with a 10ft pole.

Reasons? I've got 'em (with the first one being the aforementioned sort of visceral, procrastination-inspiring feeling that makes no goddamn sense).
There are a lot of things about the song that are annoyingly layered. For example, not a lot of people realize that the Overdrive scales and the vocals are LAYERED OVER THEMSELVES 3-4 TIMES OVER. It's that and shit like the high-pass filters and things that made me think I might never actually get around to finishing it, which is why I'm caving and uploading what I have already.

Bionic Chomposaurus - "The Biolizard" Unfinished EarthBound Remix

I'm uploading this version because it really draws attention to the actual intricacies that I put into this song.  Take for example: those drums are fuckin' TAAASTY as all hell at 98bpm (although here it's set to 100 because I haven't opened the project for a month and I had a lapse in memory), and because FL's methods of pitch-bending and slow-down are different from audio editing software you can hear the differences more clearly and in a way that sounds better.

Fun fact: I originally made it 74bpm because I wanted the "Indoor version" to be a Cleanin' Out My Closet MIDI I got online, initially. However, if that were the case, we wouldn't have the Indoor version I published. ...Maybe COMC will still make an appearance, perhaps as the replacement track for Mystic Lake's CD?

(He told me this version makes for even better sleeping music than the original when I showed it to him, and to that I say "pleasant dreams my friend")

Wario Land 4 II: Uncovered Lake (Outside)

For this song, I wanted to get that sort of swing that Mystic Lake's indoor section has, while at the same time not having to change the actual song itself too much. I think it turned out pretty well, and I think MS did, as well. Edit: in response to JAWF's critique, I altered the swing for the arpeggio, and now it's been rid of that slight awkwardness. Edit 2: updated the mp3 to be the SynthFont version, as not only is it more up-to-date, but the EP also sounds WAY cooler.

Wario Land 4 II: Uncovered Lake (Indoors)

This was my first whack at using the Super Metroid soundfont. I acquired a .zip with all the DooM/DooM II .mid's in it, and while looking for E3M2 aka Donna I stumbled upon a song that fit really well with the vibe. Plus, since Xander's been marching on my turf I figured I may as well expand *my* horizons as well. I also proooobably spent more time working on that fucking sick thumbnail than I did the actual arrangement.

That's supposed to be the Power Suit, by the way, *not* the Varia Suit (you can tell by the shoulder pads). I honestly can't remember if the PS uses the red chestplate or not, but to be fair I had to look up on Google images whether her suit even featured yellow to any capacity because I couldn't remember, so it's just as well. (Edit: apparently the Power Suit is like almost totally yellow and not orange, fuckin' OOOPS.)
The tiny version of this image looks really cool, by the way, because it isn't quite obvious that the helmet is a Revenant's skull, and as a result of the details being so pixellated the image as a whole really looks like SA-X, which is really, REALLY fitting for this song. 
Not to mention I love how gaunt and just slightly unsettling the proportions suddenly seem once you're operating under that assumption. It's like Amazing Fantasy #15's portrayal of Spider-Man, I can't get enough of that shit.

MAP 30 - The Hunter | Super Metroid + DooM II

'In the spirit of good old fashioned one-ups-manship' was the main inspiration behind this. But the thing is I got the quote WAY wrong, it was "(in classic one-upping fashion)" in reference to some of Xander's waamixes and the possibility of me copying them down for the purpose of improving and then converting them for use in WL4II, which probably isn't going to happen.

Anyways, this description feels empty without me going on some kind of spiel. Well, firstly, the MIDI was made by TheVideoGame on VGMusic,

Earthworm Jim: Queen's Lair - Super Metroid Remix

It's time to play "Guess the Source", everyone! I made the transcription myself, so no help there. ...Oh, and speaking of which, I'll betcha this is the first time anyone's made any sort of desk phone sound effect using only WL4 samples.

I'll tell you this, though: the bits of it that I copied down were literally such a pleasantry come from nowhere when I heard it, that I stopped what I was doing just to try and do something musical with it. There's just something so aesthetic about percussive organ chords accompanied by a low A being used as a "Now Dialing" tune of all things.

what's great is my laptop speaker is so awful at anything besides treble that the BandPass on Wehro is practically undetectable without my headphones.

I heard this in Film Class, as the main Riders' leitmotif while watching the ol' 1903 ten-minute film. The final showdown (the location of which I based the thumbnail's scenery on) had a cool addition for the finale where the bass part got fleshed out, and I wanted to do something for it at the very least.

Went back to some old DooMetroid WIPs on a whim; as it turns out, I never actually finished arranging this one. I touched it up a good amount, though, so hopefully it's cool now.

Went back to some old DooMetroid WIPs on a whim. This one was more or less finished, I just touched it up a little bit, put a MultiBand compressor on the uhhhh Piano, I think? Did some panning and extra mixing on them c(h)oral folks that come in for the last third.
