Tommy Sunsets returns for QRUK's 17th release with the Wallop EP. This EP showcases his signature bass-driven Techno sound. From the Big Room euphoria of Wallop, with its chilling vocal layers and use of space, to the stripped back rhythms of The Clapper, this EP delivers powerful, hands-in-the-air moments built for the d-floor.

As label head, Tommy continues to define QRUK's uncompromising identity, bringing London's underground spirit to every release. Wallop EP is a testament to QRUK's knack for fusing melodic hooks with relentless groove, pushing their sound into new territory while staying true to the UK roots.

On remix duties, London's Triximo delivers a hypnotic, psychedelic rework of Wallop, chopping vocals and euphoric synths into an atmospheric Techno trip. It's her debut on QRUK and marks a darker turn in her sound, adding a fresh, experimental edge to the label's catalogue.

Langsam schiebt er sich den Strohhut aus dem Gesicht und blinzelt der lachenden Sonne entgegen. Am Baum sitzend sinniert er über die einfachen Dinge. Der kurze Mittagsschlaf hat seine Sinne belebt. Das Plätschern des nahen Flusses hört er kristallklar und die spärlichen Wolken verfolgt er aufmerksam. Hinter jeden der weißen Riesen entdeckt er eine andere Phantasie. Dort wird eine Katze von einem  Piraten gestreichelt und da erbeutet ein Eichhörnchen ein Eis als Nachtisch. Er verliert sich in den friedlichen Parallelwelten und lässt sich nochmal fallen. Mehr liegend als sitzend schließt er die Augen und malt mit seiner Vorstellungskraft farbenfrohe Kulissen für den Piraten, die Katze und das Eichhörnchen. Seine erfundenen Abenteuer zaubern ihn ein Lächeln ins Gesicht. Dann atmet er tief durch und seufzt. Wie schön das Diesseits doch sein kann. Nach und nach verfinstern sich die hellen Gedanken jedoch. Das Pflichtbewusstsein zieht wie ein drohendes Gewitter am Horizont auf. Eigentlich müsste er wieder arbeiten. Der Aufseher ruft bereits wütend. Doch er schiebt die Negativität noch für eine Weile beiseite und genießt noch für einige Minuten das einfache Leben.

Mood Exhibit - Malaise Casualties

This year I did not go on vacation. I was only 15 days at home. Fortunately there is a pool here ...

That has allowed me to listen to a lot of music and also compose more than usual.

Experimenting with FM Player 2 I found a sound that I made a chord with. The sound developed very quickly, which is unusual for me.

Imagine the incredible voice of Nathalie B20 as the song was built, but I had not proposed any collaboration.

When it was almost finished and I proposed it to her, she accepted the collaboration, which represented a double challenge for me. Mentally imagine how Nathalie would treat the song and what we could get out of it. The result is what you see here: I could not have found a better collaboration in this case.

That is why I want to thank you for the opportunity you have given me, your magnificent contribution and the patience you have shown with me.
