Hi Jennifer, I've been trying to catch up on all your wonderful compositions today. The lush strings here were as magnificent as was your description! How we abuse our poor Mother Earth is really shameful. I minored in Astronomy and as you well know there is nowhere else to go. I will promise to do one thing, however small,  everyday to help rescue her. Great job!👍😎✌🏼

What a fabulous song and presentation. Musically reminds me of Samuel Barber's adaggio for strings but you get a little more happiness in there and project tour message very well with that. What a fabulous behind the track, one of the best I've ever read. You make Earth a better place every time this gets listened to and your words are ready. Well done Jennifer. This song started its life as one of a batch of bass lines Josh came up with around the New Year holiday. He recorded it to a rudimentary drum loop, which Ken replaced perfectly with his own beat. JJ was the next up, bringing his magical organ into the mix. He had to replace it, though, after discussions within the group about the overall form, particularly a suggestion from Stephen that led to the formation of the choruses. He joined the project next, adding his fuzzy, foundational guitar you hear underlying the entire song. Not to miss out on the guitaring, Tez came up with the ethereal guitar fills that float around in there. Mark came after Tez with his textural wah clavinet, also adding the wonderful sax solo you hear in the middle.
After it was done musically, Josh went back and wrote some lyrics and sang them, too.
Once it was in the can, we asked Tez to do the honors of mixing it for us, which he did in his always expert fashion.
This is a fine example of the Eclectic Collective coming together to create a heartfelt song. We hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed creating it.

Scarborough Fair is a traditional English folk song. The author is unknown. Probably the best-known version today is the adaptation by Simon & Garfunkel, which first appeared in 1966 on the album Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme.
I wrote this German text in 1994.

English translation of my text:

Look at the fields in autumn.
The grain turns yellow, ready to mow.
Reminds me of days gone by.
It was beautiful, I think about it a lot.

And the vines with grapes so heavy.
Makes the wine that we loves so much
Come winemaker, because the work is done.
Raise your glass, because the festival begins.

Forests colorful, a colorful splendor.

Welcome friends and to my profile! I hope to celebrate 300 original tracks on Soundcloud this year!  Thank you for listening and helping me in my musical journey. It has been a difficult year for me personally. Yet, musically, I believe I am writing some of my best music.  I am infinitely inspired and humbled by the extraordinary creativity I hear from your music each day and the wonderful friends I have encountered from every part of the world! THANK YOU! I am so very grateful for your support and the gift of music in my life!
 
What Inspires Me...I am inspired each day to compose music that touches and connects the listener in meaningful ways that are personal to their own experiences and feelings.  I believe what the world needs is more songs about love for all living things and the earthly treasures around us. The power of love is magical, mysterious, and miraculous!  And, it is essential to our survival like water and the air we breathe.  I believe that through the universal language of music, love can heal, bring joy, and create an invisible chain that pulls all of us together, not apart.  

A Little About Me...I started composing in 2016  after not touching the piano for many years. A career, raising a family and just every day life got in the way of making music. After retiring as a music teacher in the public schools, I started dreaming of playing the piano again and my years of classical training slowly came back to me. I love every genre of music, and the talent and creativity on SoundCloud has inspired me at every level!

For those of you who follow me on Soundcloud, I have been experimenting with adding tracks to my piano compositions.  I create and record everything myself using a Yamaha 660DGX, including the instrumental tracks built into the keyboard. Then, I edit on my laptop using Sony Sound Forge Music Pro.  It's a simple set up, and I have lots to learn.  I am not afraid of receiving feedback if you have any to give.  Sometimes, it's the most simple thing I may be doing wrong that changes everything!
