The Titan of time, Cronus, once a sovereign of the cosmos, meets his inevitable downfall in this evocative piece. Drawing from the myth of his rise and ultimate defeat by Zeus, the music reflects the relentless march of fate. Majestic yet foreboding, this track blends heavy, brooding chords with soaring melodies, symbolizing both the grandeur of his reign and the anguish of his fall.

Through intricate improvisation on guitar and Seaboard, Cronus Fall conveys the tension of betrayal, the weight of power lost, and the cyclical nature of time itself. Layers of rhythmic complexity and haunting harmonies mirror the clash of Titans, while a climactic resolution evokes the sorrowful acceptance of destiny.

INVESTIGATE

Cronus Fall


Theory wise, it goes Bm7 then A7 and some extended notes. Which points to either D or Bm. I decided to go to B and then A and then G and then A. All major chords. B and Bm are similar. Then, from A, to Em which is not too big of a change cos’ they both have E for the ‘well go down parts’. Then G and then back to Bm for ‘heartbeats.’. Again, both G and Bm share B so that works. Then finally, from A to A7. A7 points to Dm so that’s how the chorus begins. Chorus also has a Bb and then C which points to the key of F. Before going from G to Am which goes to Am. Then the whole process starts again except at the end we go to Bm. So 3 keys in a single chorus/outro which is pretty cool. 
The poppier elements in the prechorus are not exactly a musical direction but more of what I improvised in the moment. 
I’m extremely satisfied with the mix and will be working more with this guy in the future. 
Lyrics:

Heartbeats and inner turmoil..
Black and blue just like the earths soil (reference to NIN’s piggy I guess. Also my 2 fave colors. Altho black is the absence of color)
Now ya see why I just can’t breathe.   (The only other person I know that finds it this hard to breathe is Adam Levine)

At all. At all.  (The ‘you’ doesn’t really refer to a romantic interest in particular. I wanted something powerful and something that could stir up some emotions. It’s probably…a guy. For your purposes, you might as well [insert person here] if you feel like singing along. 

Verse:
Not unlike the waves that tear. In your auburn sunburnt hair.
And all these times you give to me. You left in agony.
This is where we stand. This is where they die.
Here we’ll make a stand. This is where they’ll die. (300 reference. You know I think I’ve been fighting Persians longer than the Spartans ever did. That’s 4 songs which reference Sparta. That’s more than 72 hours it took to make which is roughly how long the Spartans fought the Persians for)

Serenity

Fireworks explores the imagery of the various celebratory fireworks which can be heard throughout the Kurilpa peninsula and seen from vantage spots at South Bank and on Highgate Hill, during festive days such as New Years and Riverfire. This piece is joyful, full of colour via contrasts in touch, register, pedalling and modes. A little dramatic space can be taken at times when needing to reach accented octave chords and jumps. Victor Bouzard is a French pianist and composer. Coming from a musical family and a grandfather who was an orchestra conductor, he trained at the conservatory as a violinist, then discovered a passion for the piano as a teenager that he never left. Today at over 50, he decides to share his compositions which have spanned all his years, hence the album Nostalgia, Melancholy and Dreaming were born in 2024.
