Over the roofs 
with sternklang & buckminster
I think there’s something baroque on the original duet track by sternklang & buckminster something on the musical phrases, I don’t know  . Anyway, I decided that a sort of Harpsichord could work, it didn’t so I used a picked piano instrument from Soniccouture’s Xtended Piano library. I added some sparse cello and strings to punctuate the classical feel. Honestly I need to sleep on this one to decide if this was a good idea…

Atonal Unfinished Trio (disquiet0527)

The second of two contributions to Disquiet Junto 0527, this time using material recorded by per33 and Zedakh over the last fortnight and uploaded to https://llllllll.co/t/disquiet-junto-project-0526-magic-number-2-of-3/52210/72

An extemporised riff on an MFB Dominion Club was added to their excellent groundwork, the results being run through a Space Echo emulation VST just to give it some sparkle, and a little hint of Valhalla Supermassive for some shine too.

Chaonautical HalF TwisT (disquiet0527)

Part 3 of a three week Disquiet Junto project series, where three musicians asynchronously collaborate on a recording.

I used the 2 part collaboration "New Positive" by SinnySounds, which used "Now Positive" by gis_sweden. Both tracks were percussive, so I added spacey female vocal pads to the center along with a few piano arps, treated with reverb and tape effects.

which catched my ear because I liked the mixture of drone and somehow new-agy drums.

After testing the assumed scale and tempo I added some improvised arpeggios. Because of the mirrored drums it sometimes fitted, sometimes you can’t overhear the “asynchronous” trio …

I wanted to add some kind of lead theme but I dismissed the idea at the end, because the track just felt right ambient. I could not resist to put in some ambience, in this case from Venice, Italy. Hope you like it!

Magic Number 3 [disquiet0527]

Fading warmth in endless shadows — “where the light once lingers” by instagram.com/arancinalofi and instagram.com/nooneislisteningmusic blends melodic darkness with cinematic stillness, like the last memory of sunlight.

Fnubi is sound detail and melody driven music from Munich, Germany by Florian Lorenz.
Though sounding up to date digital the basis of the Fnubi-typical sounds most of the time is the result of unreproducible analogue one-takes - a counter-position to the paralysing hyper-optionalism in the creative musical process and in our society in general.
Another basic idea behind Fnubi is to keep all steps of the music creating process in one hand. This contains songwriting, instrumentation, recording, sound design and mixing.
After an explorational period of focusing on shaping sounds away from the instruments origin with FNUBI these elements are now brought into song context.
