Hassan Abou Alam is one of Egypt’s musical exports, steadily publishing his work since 2008 on diverse labels such as Naive, Banoffee Pies, Rhythm Section, Casa Voyager and more.

Since 2008, Hassan has been playing around with his gear, forging multiple live performances. A hard to pin down sound that utilizes analog and digital instruments, a form of organized chaos that he portrays with extreme finesse—his Boiler Room set last year is testament to his genre bending capabilities. Through Red Bull’s RBMA Abou Alam was given a chance to mingle musically with the ancient people of Luxor. The result? A phenomenal live performance in Cairo two years ago fusing traditional folklore with electronica, successfully pinning him as one of Egypt’s most versatile musicians.

His sound as a DJ is constantly evolving, springing to life through the crevices of house, breaks, noise, bass, grime, techno and more.

Hey, Gareth here, I'm a graphic designer who start designing for clubs, parties, and labels in the late 90s. Back then, mix CDs were the holy grail of both design and music. I loved them.

But I wasn't the only one, mix cds were the soundtracks of our nights, our days, our afterparties and lives, for everyone. Yet in today's internet age, the art form has been lost (or just changed) to 2-3 hour online mixes and streaming videos, which just don't create the same magic your CD collection did. Just 60 minutes of music and incredible artwork.

The Classic Mix CD Series celebrates these discs, their soundtrack, their box art and your memories. We hope you enjoy it.

As a young designer, club and music culture was the driving force for his work, producing artwork for local club nights and record labels in the North East of England. French-born but Berlin-based DJ & producer, Justine Perry proposes a timeless sound of fast-paced, deep and trippy grooves that have gained the likes of many key venues in Europe such as Berghain, Tresor, Rex Club, Khidi, IFZ or Radion to name a few.

Always on the search for new artists to support, Justine has built strong relationships that have brought her to take part in Parisian Resilience crew and becoming a resident DJ at Strasbourg well respected club - Kalt.

As part of the LGBTQIA+ community with appearances in queer parties, Justine embraces the need of building diversity and a safer environment in music.

2024 marks a significant milestone in her career, with the release of her debut EP on the renowned Dynamic Reflection label. This step showcases Justine’s finely crafted vision as a producer, adding a new dimension to her artistry and earning her recognition as a versatile talent in the techno sphere. Besides this, she also released tracks and remixes on labels like KR Records, KALT or MALöR.
