Needless (feat. Robot Recordings)

An upcoming music producer/artist originally from Bangor, Wales but lived in Manchester England for the majority of my life. I am looking to mix tracks for free as practice and i am always open to collaborations.

The piano is not just an instrument; it is a storyteller. My lifelong companion. Each piece holds the memory of a moment in time, of a period in life. Here, I share my personal journey—one miniature, one experiment, one story at a time.

I’m Konrad Spittelberg, 52 years old. Though I’ve always called Vienna my home, I have pursued various interests, building an interdisciplinary background that spans education in Latin and Greek, studies of Mathematics, Physics and Economics and a carreer in Consulting and Risk Management. Sometimes, you might also find me immersed in games of Go, Chess or D&D. 

But only when I’m not making music. Of course. Still then, all of my interests have shaped the way I think — and, in turn, the way I compose.

The instrument of my life is the piano. I play it since the age of six, the first 16 in music school with my dedicated teacher Margarete Gerlach (and also thanks to the city of Vienna to the incredible publicly funded music schools!). My piano playing saw multiyear interruptions due to travel and workload. But in recent years I’ve found the time to pursue my passion again—with renewed joy. I devote many of my evenings to developing, refining and rehearsing my piano miniatures. 

I inhale music wherever I find it. In the echoes of Renaissance motets or contemporary cluster music with my local choir, which I joined 30 years ago. In music running in the background of a fashion store which I Shazaam for later enjoyment. Or live concerts - there are so many gifted artists in the world! 

My music is a dialogue between tradition and exploration. Rooted in classical and romantic traditions, it ventures into jazz, rock, and pop.  I love to experiment—playing with unexpected tonalities, syncopated rhythms, and dynamic contrasts. My compositions often evolve through shifts in tension, rhythmic complexity, and harmonic modulations, sometimes venturing across the circle of fifths. I’m also diving deeper into the art of mastering, an area where I still have much to explore.

I’m all about creating music with real and raw lyrics and sounds to make you feel and experience life through it. I am no singer - but I love to write, build and produce songs. Its my way to cope with life, almost like a diary.

Im happy chilling in bed or hanging in bars. With family and friends. When I work, I work really hard. When I relax, I hide away and go silent. 

I daydream too much. I never work out. I romantize red wine and late night writing. When I wanna run away to a nicer place in my mind, I listen to Frank Sinatra. When I wanna feel grounded, I listen to Bruce Springsteen. As I dream, I listen to Taylor Swift.

I dont like listening to music when I cry because I think that it makes the hurt even worse. I’m easily bored so I always risk a lot to be blown away. I LOVE LOVE. I think that its a blessing to be able to feel. If I cant create something I get depressed.

Going to sleep in the same bed as my daughters makes me feel  happy. I eat fastfood and I really dont care about it. Doing what makes you happy is the most important thing in life so just do it - but please dont break hearts. (If you break my heart, you will end up in a song.)

Life is short. I am tall. Never stop dreaming. And always be yourself. Who cares what others think? BE FREE.

Rock Flexible is a spare-time guitar player, multi-instrumentalist, producer and singer based in Berlin, Germany. 
He is much interested in the technical and production side of things and he will immediately stop making music as soon as he has achieved his final goal: Creating music in the quality of the ones producing for Radio and commercial CDs :o)

Still working down my pile of unfinished projects and re-releasing older songs. Feel free to comment and repost. As a rule of thumb, electronic music is old. I don't have the capacity for collaborations and remixes.

I create for the pure joy of it and I love to include my Wife and Daughter in the music to capture a beautiful moment; a personal time capsule. Music is an expressive outlet for me and I write from the heart.

Close to my heart is raising awareness of the chronically painful genetic connective tissue disorder HEDS (Hyper-Mobility Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome) to encourage recognition and a deeper understanding of the condition; that no 2 people with HEDS are identical and live with different symptoms, types and experiences.
