Grief is a taboo. It is not good and healthy to suppress negative feelings and experiences. But we are told to think positive by any guru. We become motivated to hide sorrow. But that will lead to instable balance sooner or later. Sometimes a human must cry. So I allow myself to stop faking thinking positive, being strong and indestructable. I admit being fragile and imperfect, a human with emotions, Feel invited to think about it and thank you for listening!

In the rain, our arms wide to you.
In the rain, you save our souls, yes you do. 

...and the rain, it's a time for me to say 'I love you'.
with the ring, with a kiss.  My love, I hope it'll do.

Mesmerizing pitter-patter;
scent of a fresh storm; 
Delicious seeing water dripping down your form.
A cool drink from the clouds, 
nothing makes a person live their life more fully,  
like knowing how fleeting it can be. 

Break.

In the rain.
Feeling you splashing down from the heavens. 
In the rain, 
you make the clouds go away.
Kids can dance in the puddles made by you.
In the rain,
we know you are true.

Water droplets on my girlfriends lips, 
entices me to kiss them.
Wet leaves falling from trees, so precious...
...a clap of thunder after a funeral procession,
says that they'll go to heaven.

In the rain,
on a tin roof; window pane.
Hold my hand, love a rainy day.
as the drops come down so free.

I've always liked the original Rammstein song and the way they'd drawn on the poetry. This was one of those late rambles played for fun but then when I heard it back......

The falconer holds out a golden ring from the tower 
Captive and burning and full of desire 
The falcon pulls feathers from her wings to count the hours

Is the crow 
Compelled to steal

Are we drawn 
Into the wheel
Into the wheel

Turning and burning in the heat, of hearth and fire 
The feathers, the letters, the fingers form a winged spire
There’s flapping and scurrying aloft up in the rafters 
Where the bats are left to read and the finger moves on higher

We forget 
Why we were singing

The choir cannot lift the ceiling
The spinning wedding ceiling
Stealing

We are always trying different styles and sounds, this is more alt/popish I guess. I think it is fun to hear people's song writing and recording process on SC...so for this one I wrote a brief demo with acoustic only, working out the main lyrics. Then Morry took it and recorded it with all the instrumentation and bridge etc. Then we got back together to record the vocs and mastered it on our Tascam DP24. Hope you like it!
