83 - THE HYPERSONIC FACTOR

This track is a pre released song of our band The Hypersonic Factor for the upcoming album (release in 2023). Much to our joy and surprise the first album "Inventions of Diffusion" got quite a bit of attention Worldwide on several prog and jazz rock platforms and stations. thehypersonicfactor.bandcamp.com/album/in…iffusion

The second project has been years in the making, first demo's were starting to emerge just before the Pandemic. Well, our work is almost finished on the album with some tracks needing some last parts to record and of course the mixing and mastering right after that. It's a vast body of work, ranging from acoustic pieces to full blown Jazz Rock and Progressive Rock.

Our band consists of:
Tom Hipskind - drums and percussion @tomhipskind
Jason Rubenstein - piano, synths & keyboards @jasonrubenstein
Mirko Borach - bass (fretted and fretless) @stringburner
Dan van den Berg - guitars (acoustic and electric)

This track was the first to be completed, and initially came from me. The idea behind 83 is quite simple. 1983 was the year I started playing guitar, I was ten years old back then and a big fan of Al DiMeola, Yngwie Malmsteen and Edward Van Halen. I wanted to play loud and fast, like those players. Of course it took me many, many years. The track should sound like it was made in the eighties, the origin for my playing.

I really hope you'll enjoy this pre release that already had some radio time on several prog rock platforms!
