Techgnosis Sessions

We are very proud to get our tenth podcast from a very special guest from Norway. Faia is an Oslo-based DJ, producer and club promoter who has played in all major parties in Norway and is also regularly booked to techno and house clubs all around Europe. 

In 2018 Faia got into production, and started a collaboration with Duppeditt. They own the label Romklang Records together and are now releasing their music, as well as being signed with Pointzer0 Rec and Music4Aliens. She’s a label DJ for Small Records and in charge of their mix series SmallCast.

Faia loves being behind the decks, and that also reflects the drive, energy and playfulness in her choice of music which is mostly deep, dark, groovy, techy and hard minimal, techno and house. This masterfully compiled mix of dark and dirty grooves is a great showcase of her talent and modern minimal and psychedelic tech sound.

Hailing from Trois-Rivières, Québec, William Janvier aka Jeez Us is an up and coming dj and producer that has been smashing the local scene with his tight and dynamic mixes featuring the freshest psytech and minimal tunes!

Being one of the small batch of Djs in Québec pushing this sound, we are happy to have him on board as an official alpaka resident and ambassador in Quebec.

Catch him at a gig near you as he's starting to fill up his booking schedule more and more.

Fluffy Junior

Continuing the 'Faith' EP’s underlying theme of uneasy dystopia, “Fluffy Junior” takes a different musical direction. It opens with a solid four-to-the-floor kick, immediately setting an assertive tone. Rolling progressive basslines intertwine with techno influences, while moody electronic drones establish a spacious, abstract landscape. The composition leans toward ambient minimalism, evoking emotion through texture rather than melody.

The tension remains palpable throughout, punctuated by fleeting moments of light that pierce the soundscape during the breakdowns. These subtle bursts of warmth — playful yet overshadowed by the track’s depth — make “Fluffy Junior” an expansive, immersive, and thought-provoking listening experience.
