Our brains are hardwired for ecstasy. Many of our ancestors have accessed ecstatic states as a way of asking for inspiration, guidance or healing. They can increase our awareness and offer us experiences that extend beyond the physical senses and the cognitive mind. The gates to our inner knowing and intuitive mind can open. Deep healing can occur in altered states of consciousness.

In our culture today many of us are experiencing a lack of ecstasy that we might try to fill with other means. The dancing path is an on-going journey from inertia to ecstatic trance. To be in a state of ecstatic means to be fully alive.

Earth, fire, water, air and ether are the essential elements of all creation. Moving with their energies we remind ourselves that we too are part of the natural order and intimately interwoven with nature.

Dancing within the elemental map of the 5Rhythms® we will cultivate an embodied knowing and relationship with each element. We will dance with the earth, with the winds and waters, with the ember and flame of fire and the etheric parts of ourselves that shine from our deepest Self.
